COTE is the first and only Korean steakhouse in the world to earn a Michelin star. Established by restaurateur Simon Kim, it combines the social experience of upscale Korean BBQ with the features of a traditional American steakhouse. Renowned for its vibrant and lively ambiance, the restaurant offers premium cuts prepared table-side on advanced smokeless grills.

The Butcher’s Feast at COTE Singapore is essentially a polished Korean steakhouse with a complete dining experience comprising of a savory broth, bright lovely banchan, scallion salad, four expertly grilled beef cuts served tableside, finished with yummy delectable Korean stews and a sweet ending. It’s positioned as the restaurant’s best-value introduction to COTE’s style, while still feeling premium and theatrical, in a venue that is lively and atmospheric.
For our dining experience at COTE Singapore's, we chose the Butcher's Feast which starts with Gogi Cha, a beef bone consommé, which is tasty and refreshing followed by a scallion salad and a variety of traditional Korean banchan (Korean side dishes). The mix was unique and we love the kimchi and radish banchans.

The highlight is four cuts of beef, featuring USDA Prime and Australian Wagyu, which are grilled at our table to our preferred format. We had the USDA Prime 45-day dry-aged ribeye, Australian Wagyu flatiron, Hanger steak and COTE marinated galbi (something super unique and special). Our meal concludes with savory stews (spicy kimchi stew and a savoury Doenjang stew - and these are refillable) , an egg soufflé or soufflé-style egg dish which is refillable as well, rice, and soothing dessert - a vanilla soft serve ice cream.
The experience is characterized by contrast: a clean broth, a sharp and refreshing salad, salty-fermented banchan, and then rich beef with the smoky aroma of the charcoal grill., cooked to perfection by the eager yet service-centric team at COTE. The beef is tender, flavorful, and deeply marbled, with the char providing a steakhouse touch to the Korean BBQ style and a nice accompaniment to the red wine that we ordered - a Silver Ghost Cabernet Savignon from Napa Valley and this 2023 vintage oozed velvety plum notes with raisin finish. The four cuts are impressive, and I was quite stoked by the Galbi which was filled with marbling in COTE's intepretation of this succulent BBQ dish.
I felt that the entire experience of creating a cohesive set rather than relying on a single standout piece was pretty comforting and if you appreciate the combination of beef fat, grilled aroma, and Korean condiments, then this menu is crafted to satisfy that very preference.
COTE Singapore offers more than just a meal; it's an atmosphere, with the elevator opening into Millim bar (pretty cool) before transitioning into the darker dining area. The space is described as upscale, moody, and reminiscent of a nightclub, featuring smokeless charcoal grills built into the tables and a strong visual emphasis on dry-aging and display. On the day we went, which was a Monday, the venue was packed with diners and corporates, so it was truly fascinating to indulge in this format of a dining experience, we like it!
This makes the Butcher's Feast feel more like a curated tasting experience than a casual K-BBQ outing, so when we were informed that the smoke dissipates away from your clothes, and not having that heavy BBQ aroma surrounding you after a typical Korean BBQ meal, we were pleasantly surprised. From a luxury-media perspective, it exudes a "executive dinner meets social scene" vibe and the corporates present that evening alluded to this feeling of a spectacular ambience.
The Butcher's Feast is priced at SGD138 per person, which is truly excellent value for the quality and format of this holistic meal offering. Luxury extras like Japanese A5 Wagyu are available for diners looking to enhance their meal and in essence, this set is the most accessible way to experience COTE's offerings without committing to the more expensive tasting menu.
Rosette Media Taste Rating : 9.1/10
For a first visit, the Butcher's Feast is the most balanced option, as it provides a complete COTE experience and to enhance the experience, pair it with wine from the extensive list, which is a key attraction of the restaurant. It also suits a shared, leisurely dinner rather than a hurried BBQ meal, as the service is integral to the presentation - we welcomed Janine as our server for the evening. The expectation would be a premium, curated, tableside tasting meal. From our perception and feedback, COTE is refined, energetic, and highly photogenic, worthy of it's One Michelin Star.
