We like the fluffy pillows and the clean sheets bedding and the full convenience of their bathroom amenities and the turn-down service is truly an eye-opener, when you return to the room after a long day out in Kuala Lumpur. The views are breathtaking and the expanse of the cityscape and surrounding buildings can be enjoyed from my high floor, perched one level below the Lounge, which is just perfect!
My king-bed room enables me to work from any location, accommodating my crucial Zoom calls and online meetings. The robust high-speed Wi-Fi transforms the space into a productive hub for me, as a modern traveler. With my laptop open, I enjoy a beautiful scenic view and the comfort of cool air in the room, creating a high-yield corporate prestige ambiance.

For our premium gastronomy experience, we went to savour the food at both the Ember & Brass and also The WAU Lounge.
Ember & Brass is our all-day dining venue in Kuala Lumpur, open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The concept harmonizes the intense passion of the kitchen ('Ember') with refined craftsmanship ('Brass'). Characterized by artistry, warmth, and refined all-day dining, the vibrant kitchen spirit is integral to the experience. Ember reflects the fiery passion in every dish, while Brass symbolizes the sophistication and craftsmanship of our space and service.
Known for serving one of the finest hotel breakfasts in KL, it also offers a comprehensive à la carte menu. The interior is inspired by the dramatic flames of a traditional Malaysian wok, paying tribute to local culinary heritage. Deep red tones capture the intensity of fire, warm wood elements provide grounding comfort, and rich brass accents offer a polished, modern elegance. These elements combine to create an atmosphere that is both dynamic and refined—a place where flavors are celebrated, moments are cherished, and dining becomes a quietly captivating experience from morning to night.
We tried the "STEAK" on the a la carte menu, comprising of a 200g Australian grain-fed angus rib eye or sirloin, served with jacket potatoes, vegetable confit & boiled vegetables, and we went along with the Black Pepper sauce, it was medium rare and absolutely yummy!
We knew we were in Malaysia and so we just simply had to try an "AYAM BAKAR" mixed with turmeric & herbs, this steeped boneless chicken leg dish was grilled to perfection, and served with a side of Nasi Minvak, crunchy keropok, salted egg, and a refreshing bed of pickled vegetables and ulam, sedap, I would say!
We then had a generous serving of the "BARA", the signature seafood selection that is fire-grilled in the Ember & Brass style, and served with a charred medley of eggplant, okra, onion, and tomato, accompanied by their house-made sambals; which was just heavenly, so we went with a large Freshwater Prawn, a Squid, a Tiger Grouper Fish Fillet and a Tiger Prawn, superb!
The WAU Lounge
At Level 29, we had the privilege to experience the The WAU Lounge, where culture meets comfort, a tranquil haven crafted for both the discerning business traveler and the adventurous explorer. Drawing inspiration from Malaysia’s iconic wau kites, this revamped space transcends the typical executive lounge, offering an environment where heritage and modern sophistication seamlessly blend, so I asked them the significance of these waus, and learn the heritage tapestry behind the meaning of this lovely design.
This elegant high-floor retreat seamlessly merges intricate local heritage with contemporary style, creating a peaceful sanctuary that captures the lightness and grace of the artistry that inspired it. Surrounded by curated displays of traditional craftsmanship, guests are encouraged to work or relax in an atmosphere of refined elegance, enhanced by exclusive benefits such as all-day light refreshments and a sophisticated evening transition featuring signature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. We enjoyed the various snacks, canapes, both savoury and sweet, on offer and it went along spendidly with our cocktails, wine and beer, just simply gorgeous as we watched the sunset descend along the KL cityscape!
