The arrival of the seventh-generation luxury sedan in the Lion City marks a definitive moment for the segment, blending 49 years of heritage with a striking glimpse into the automaker's future. Since its debut in 1977, the 7 Series has been the standard-bearer for Munich’s technological ambitions, and this latest iteration stands out as the first luxury sedan to inherit groundbreaking tech from the highly anticipated Neue Klasse.

Visually, the new 7 Series demands your attention with a monolithic exterior characterized by the illuminated BMW kidney Iconic Glow and minimalist crystal headlights. Singaporean buyers are treated to the aggressive M Sport package as standard on both the 735 and i7 variants, giving the flagship a sporting edge that sits confidently on 21-inch M aerodynamic wheels.

For those who view their vehicle as a canvas, the BMW Individual program introduces a world-first Dual-Finish paintwork. This artisanal triumph seamlessly blends a matte lower section with a manually applied metallic upper body, separated by a hand-drawn Coachline. Crafted exclusively at the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, this painstaking paint process takes over 75 hours per car—nearly six times longer than standard finishes—and unlocks up to 500 bespoke color combinations, highlighted by dazzling new shades like Vancouver Green Metallic and Frozen Silver Space.

Inside, the 7 Series refuses to make you choose between the thrill of driving and the sheer luxury of being driven. The cabin is a masterclass in modern opulence, integrating rich leather, crystal glass, wood, and metal into a clean, cozy atmosphere. Up front, the driver and passenger are greeted by the debut of the BMW Panoramic iDrive and the new BMW Passenger Screen, all running on the future-proof BMW Operating System X. Rear-seat occupants, meanwhile, are treated to a rolling cinematic sanctuary courtesy of the optional 31.3-inch, 8K-capable BMW Theatre Screen. Whether you are taking video calls on the move or streaming your favorite shows, the experience is anchored by an immersive Dolby Atmos-supported Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

On the road, the ride is tailored by standard Integral Active Steering and adaptive two-axle air suspension utilizing four electronically controlled shock absorbers. Navigating tight urban spaces is further simplified by AI-supported parking space detection, Remote Control Parking, and SAE Level 2 driver assistance under the BMW Symbiotic Drive banner.

Buyers in Singapore have two distinct powertrains to choose from, both heavily focused on efficiency and sustainable engineering.

The BMW 735 M Sport commands a retail price of $684,888 and utilizes a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. It delivers a robust 286 horsepower and 425 Nm of torque, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds before topping out at 250 km/h.

The BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport, priced at $709,888, offers a whisper-quiet, all-electric alternative. It leverages a massive 112.5 kWh flat high-voltage battery integrated into the floor and features Gen6 battery cells. Its dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup churns out 455 horsepower and a staggering 660 Nm of torque, rocketing the heavy sedan to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. Most impressively, it boasts an electric range of up to 728 kilometers (WLTP), ensuring range anxiety is a thing of the past.

Whether you opt for the refined combustion efficiency of the 735 or the brute electric force of the i7, the latest 7 Series proves that uncompromising luxury and TÜV-certified, resource-efficient sustainability can flawlessly coexist.
