SERIOUS BUSINESS
Every participating yacht, exhibitor and guest play an important role in contributing to the success of the show. Beyond all the glitz, glamour and trade numbers, the Singapore Yacht Show also serves a greater purpose; to raise awareness in the region (and beyond), to recognise that the yachting industry is an important contributor to the economy.
On average, a single superyacht visiting the region can contribute USD$3 million – USD$4 million per season.
This figure doesn’t only flow towards the tourism sector. Superyachts travelling across continents need to undergo servicing, maintenance, refuel and resupply. The multiplier effect of spending generated from a single superyacht reaches far and wide into the community. There are more than 5,000 superyachts currently existing worldwide. Imagine having just 50 superyachts visiting your shores each season!
The show is a great starting point to experience the lifestyle, the explore boundless opportunities, and most importantly to learn about the benefits it can bring to the region.
