Singapore GP : Line-up Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2019

5 March 2019, Singapore – For its twelfth edition, Singapore GP and its affiliate Lushington Entertainments present a stellar entertainment lineup for the Formula 1 night race, including big names Swedish House Mafia, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cardi B and Hans Zimmer, plus the previously announced acts Muse, Fatboy Slim, Toots and the Maytals as well as Larkin Poe – all taking to the stage at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2019.

International superstars Swedish House Mafia announced their return at the end of 2018 and will bring their incredible live show to the Padang Stage on 20 September in Zone 4. Swedish House Mafia consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso are the trio behind global hits such as “Don’t You Worry Child”, “Save The World” and “One (Your Name)”.


Californian rock legends, Red Hot Chili Peppers marked an era with their trademark confection of rock, funk and punk. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, the band, presently made up of vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, is one of the most successful rock bands of all time. With three Grammys under their belt, Red Hot Chili Peppers also holds the record for the most #1 hits in Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart. Since their last concert in Singapore in 2002, fans can look forward to their set on 22 September at the Padang Stage in Zone 4

Unapologetic. Real. Hip-Hop – Rally the Bardi Gang to shake it up at the debut Singapore performance of Cardi B on 21 September at the Padang Stage in Zone 4. As the first solo female artist to receive the Best Rap Album for her debut album Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B has gone from strength to strength. She boasts a string of top hits which include her first hit single “Bodak Yellow” in 2017, successful collaborations with Bruno Mars and Maroon 5. The 26-year-old is one of Time’s “100 most influential people in the world” in 2018 and has picked up numerous awards including nine BET Hip Hop awards, two Guinness World Records and three MTV Video Music Awards. Cardi B even beat Beyoncé’s record for most simultaneous Billboard US Hot 100 entries by a female.



Bringing the party vibes up a notch, fans can dance happy with big beat superstar DJ, Fatboy Slim who will be playing a second show. Known for iconic tracks like “The Rockafeller Skank”, “Praise You”, “Right Here, Right Now” and “Sunset (Bird of Prey)”, Fatboy Slim will hit the stage on 21 September at The Wharf Stage in Zone 1 and 22 September at the Padang Stage in Zone 4.


Muse, who will rock the Padang Stage in Zone 4 on 21 September, is one of the world’s biggest rock bands, with the British high-energy trio renowned for thrilling stage shows. Formed in 1994 by Matt Bellamy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Dominic Howard (drums), Muse has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide with 2018’s Simulation Theory its sixth number one album in the United Kingdom.


Jamaican legends Toots and the Maytals, the group that coined the term “reggae”, will bring their exciting performances to The Wharf Stage in Zone 1 on 20 September and Esplanade Outdoor Theatre in Zone 4 on 21 September. Popular American roots band Larkin Poe who is fronted by sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell, will also make their debut in Singapore.


Hans Zimmer Award winning composer, Hans Zimmer, will wow with a rousing concert experience this 22 September at The Wharf Stage in Zone 1. Fans will journey through an orchestrated musical set through The World of Hans Zimmer. Hans Zimmer has scored more than 150 projects across all mediums which combined, have grossed more than 28 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. The multi award-winning German composer’s works will be presented by a live symphony orchestra, featuring some of Zimmer’s best known works from the soundtracks of blockbuster productions including The Lion King, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception and Interstellar.

Defining the ultimate Singapore Grand Prix experience, patrons will be able to enjoy the specially curated entertainment programme featuring world-class artistes throughout the 799,000 square metre Circuit Park. Racegoers can expect a strong showing of roving acts covering multiple genres, including some of music’s rising stars from all over the world who are performing in Singapore for the very first time.


Scottish pop rock band Texas is known for their pop and Motown-influenced sounds. Since the band’s lauded debut single “I Don’t Want a Lover” in 1989, the Glasgow-based band has followed up their success with two major sellers, White on Blonde and The Hush, featuring many hit singles including “Say What You Want”, “Black Eyed Boy” and “In Our Lifetime”, and with their latest album Jump on Board. Fans will be treated to a set full of energy as the band makes their debut Singapore GP performance as part of their “Jump on Board” tour.


J.S. Ondara is a singer-songwriter based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, his music is largely inspired by Bob Dylan and Neil Young. The largely self-taught musician with his distinct emotive singing and narrative lyrics will wow with songs like “Saying Goodbye” and “American Dream” from his album “Tales of America”.

Hit singer-songwriter and hip-hop artiste, Raja Kumari is an artiste in her own right with music that bridges East and West. Raja Kumari has penned records like the multi-platinum “Centuries” for Fall Out Boy, “Change Your Life” for Iggy Azalea’s Grammy-nominated album The New Classic and six tracks for Gwen Stefani’s album This Is What The Truth Feels Like. In her debut EP The Come Up and her brand new album Bloodline, the “Queen of Hindustan” continues to proclaim her Indian roots with her American upbringing, fusing the rhythms she mastered as a trained classical Indian dancer with her love for hip-hop.


Jupiter & Okwess has an impressive list of collaborators for their album Kin Sonic: Damon Albarn of Blur, violinist Warren Ellis of Nick Cave’s Bad Seeds as well as Robert del Naja aka ‘3D’ of Massive Attack. Barack Obama is a fan – their song “Ekombe” was listed by the former US President as one of his favourite songs of 2018. Singer-songwriter Jupiter creates his own infectious style inspired by Congolese rumba rhythms and the funky rifts from American soul legends James Brown and The Temptations.

Back by popular demand, DJ Lizzy is the first female DJ to perform at 2017 Ultra China. Her outstanding appearance and production techniques of electronic music led to her increased popularity in China, where she built a reputation for her high-energy sets. “Kill the vampire” and “Kombat” have reached #11 and #23 respectively on the pyro billboard.


Mantravine is a world electronic band of sonic sorcerers from Singapore that combines electronic and acoustic music into organic frequencies. Inspired by nature, everyday sounds, & human connections they love unifying dance floors with rhythms from around the globe, interactive improvisations and live looping. The band has performed at festivals globally including the Luminate Festival & Twisted Frequency Festival in New Zealand, Audio Alchemy Festival in Hawaii, Gaggalacka Festival in Germany and is a regular feature at Chill Sessions in Singapore
