Sake Festival Singapore 2026, known as one of Asia’s premier sake and Japanese spirits festivals, has unveiled the theme for its 11th year: 'The Masters’ Return.' This edition will feature over 40 sake brewers from Japan and include more than 600 sakes and spirits, a new workshop arena, and a vibrant izakaya alley led by the Tanjong Pagar Yokocho group of chefs.
The eagerly awaited annual event is set for Saturday, 20 June 2026, at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Tickets are available for $60 in advance and $70 at the door, with a special 5+1 bundle deal: purchase 5 tickets and receive 1 free!

Organised by Orihara, Singapore’s leading distributor of nihonshu (sake made in the traditional Japanese way), this year's festival celebrates the rich heritage of Japanese beverage culture. Since its inception in 2014, Sake Festival Singapore has remained dedicated to promoting the craft and traditions of nihonshu. It is the only festival in Singapore where attendees can meet the largest number of sake producers, including kurabitos (brewery workers) and tojis (master brewers), in person.
Sake Features
The lineup of over 40 breweries includes the internationally renowned and innovative Dassai Inc., Hakurakusei, Yukinobosha, and Shimeharitsuru by Miyao Brewery.
Sake aficionados will recognize Hakurakusei from the Niizawa Brewery in Miyagi Prefecture. The brewery transformed the sake industry by creating shokuchushu, meal-time sakes specifically designed to complement food, now highly prized by Michelin-starred restaurants. Shimeharitsuru is renowned for its brewers' commitment to crafting exceptional sake, balancing rich and light flavors using the pure underground water flowing from the Asahi mountain range via the Miomote River.
At the festival, attendees can explore a variety of unique sake stories, including:
Azuma Rikishi — CAVE UROKO 5: A blend of five different cave-aged sakes, where the aging process imparts a deep umami character. This sake offers a rich, full-bodied, and intensely concentrated flavor profile.
Yamakawa Mitsuo 2026 by Yamagata Masamune: A collaborative sake project by four breweries from Yamagata Prefecture. The name is an acronym from one character of each brewery’s brand: 'Yama' from Yamagata Masamune, 'Kawa' from Tatenokawa, 'Mitsu' from Toko/Retsu, and 'O' from Uyo Otokoyama. It sets a new standard for modern junmai sake, balancing pure ingredients with high drinkability, reminiscent of sparkling rice water.
Kamotsuru Shuchu Zaishin Junmai Daiginjou: Kamotsuru Brewery, one of Hiroshima’s most historic and influential breweries, was founded in 1873 in Saijo. It is renowned for pioneering premium ginjo-style sake and producing elegant, refined sake that reflects Hiroshima’s celebrated soft-water brewing tradition. Crafted with premium Yamadanishiki grown in the pristine Zoga district of Higashihiroshima and brewed with soft subterranean water from Mt. Ryuo, this Junmai Daiginjo expresses elegant grape-like aromatics, refined depth, and a beautifully expanding rice umami.

Suntory The Premium Malt’s, a long-time partner of Sake Festival Singapore, will also launch five premium serves: Mliko, Pilsner, Sunset, Half & Half, and Black Beer. Kaoru Ale and Master’s Dream, typically available only in select food and beverage outlets, will also be served
.

Experience Highlights
Workshop Arena: Debuting this year, the Workshop Arena offers complimentary sessions by Dassai, Suntory Toki whisky, and SKLO glassware, along with curated tastings hosted by consumer group Sake Bottle Share.
Sommelier-Guided Tours: Themed sake tours led by the festival’s sommeliers provide a quick, curated way for attendees to discover the exhibition floor's highlights.
Izakaya Alley by Tanjong Pagar Yokocho chefs: A group of Japanese chefs from the Tanjong Pagar district, this collective has been a popular feature at the festival since their debut in 2024. They will serve classic Japanese izakaya-style dishes, including oden, karaage, California-style crab uramaki, anago (sea eel) stick sushi, and various otsumami (small bites). Food prices start at $6.
