ROSETTE MEDIA RESORT RATING 9/10
The celebratory vibe of this family-centric resort resonates throughout!
The resort boasts 366 thatched-roof villas, each with a private pool, nestled among lush gardens and beautiful waterscapes, and a stone' throw from a private beach area. Guests can enjoy 5 unique restaurant concepts and bars, a 16-room spa, a fitness center, and a 120-meter outdoor pool. The resort provides vibrant experiences for all ages, from the kids' club to The Hub entertainment center, Water Park, and Khem Beach Driving Range, making it a truly immersive holiday destination for meaningful connection with nature, relaxation and rejuvenation, and a recreation haven in harmonious tones.
A Family Destination
Families can have unlimited fun at the resort's lively Water Park and we saw throngs of families enjoying lovely moments with their loved ones, while younger visitors can explore exciting activities at the Kids’ Club and various outdoor recreational areas on the property. Those looking for both relaxation and entertainment can visit The Hub, the resort’s vibrant social hub that includes bowling lanes (just amazing!), private karaoke rooms, games, and interactive experiences suitable for all ages. Sports and leisure fans can also enjoy the Khem Beach Driving Range, which provides a distinctive seaside golfing experience, adding another enjoyable activity to their island getaway. This resort offers visually striking, memorable experiences that will resonate with family travelers, who value curated, memorable photo-spots with emotional storytelling of their vacation.
Villas & Rooms
We stayed in a Garden Pool Villa, which boasts a distinctive pavilion-style design. Each room has its own entrance surrounding a central courtyard and private pool, adorned with a charming beach-themed village mural. Carefully designed details capture the essence of fishing villages, while warm lighting creates a calming atmosphere for a truly relaxing escape.
The Villa spans a total of 125 sqm, featuring 2 king beds and 2 twin beds, accommodating up to 6 adults. It offers a full suite of services and amenities, including a private swimming pool, welcome amenities, a screen TV with international channels, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the resort, a safety box, 100% cotton bath linens, branded toiletries, a separate living area with a kitchenette, a radio and docking station, complimentary tea and coffee facilities, and 24-hour in-villa dining (room service).
We enjoyed the delicious Prosecco that accompanied our facial toiletries set, fruits, and cake as part of the welcome gift set, I couldn't help enjoying the quiet moment and listen to the environs of nature, as I partook of my bubbly with some specially basked New World Phu Quoc themed-cake and fruits.
Culinary Venues: Restaurants & Bars
New World Phu Quoc is exemplified by 5 distinctly charming Food & Beverage (F&B) Concepts, each unique on it's own with a truly brilliant cuisine type and style.
LUA Grill & Bar
LUA brings a lively and engaging Italian dining experience to Phu Quoc, honouring the depth of Italy’s culinary heritage with a contemporary flair. Focused on fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, LUA’s menu showcases handmade pastas, wood-fired specialties, and lively dishes prepared table-side for an immersive, sensory experience.
We savoured a variety of exceptional Italian dishes with live cooking from the open kitchen. The Burrata was typically Italian and we like it this way; marinated Eggplant prepared with Sun-Dried Tomato, Olives & Basil maketh a classique dish at this restaurant. Chef Alessandro reinterprets familiar Italian flavours in a contemporary style; he draws on the flavours of Porcini Mushroom and Smoked Shiitake served in a rich bisque infused with Porcini Dust, to create the Porcini Mushroom Cappuccino.
His Tenderloin dish, delicately seasoned, is served with Roasted Garlic & Confit Shallots embedded with pepper sauce on a 200g piece of Angus Beef Tenderloin - exquisite and we ordered a medium well version, giving it a distinctly steak character. The Truffle Pizza dish brings together Pancetta notes and the natural sweetness of the mushrooms well melangé with Mozzarella, to deliver a truly tasty crust and tender structure, delicious to the bite!
The Tiramisu reveals the everlasting taste of Mascarpone Cream, Ladyfinger with Bittersweet Cocoa as a nice add-on, to create a delightful dessert accompaniement with black tea. We had a glass of Louis Latour Domaine de Valmoissine, a Pinot Noir variant from Provence, France to celebrate the awesome Italian fare at this lively restaurant.
COCO Beach House
A beachfront eatery specialising in Vietnamese seafood and grilled dishes, complemented by sunset views and a relaxed seaside vibe. The freshest seafood, with Oysters from Ha Long, Lobster from Nha Trang and Fish varietals from Phu Quoc, aligns with the thematic philosophy of COCO; the essence of coastal living and dining!
As the sun goes down, COCO Beach House welcomes guests to the beach for the Beyond the Summer Seafood Feast, an enjoyable, communal seafood bucket experience ideal for families, couples, and groups. Accompanied by refreshing Rosé or Riesling options and set against the stunning backdrop of Phu Quoc’s golden sunsets from 3 PM to 6 PM, it offers the perfect way to embrace the essence of summer by the sea.
For starters, we fell in love with the Marinated Ha Long Oysters with Vietnamese Chillis, Local Phu Quoc Herbs in a deeply comforting Citrus Sauce. Their dish, Ham Ninh Blue Crab Noodle Soup, which is almost like a type of Bun Rieu but characterised from a Rach Gia - Kien Giang version, features blue crab bathed in herbs, complemented by Banana Blossom and mint-dressed Lime. The steamed dish of Blue Grouper was lifted by a bevy of Pandan Leaves and separate spiced dip with Ginger Kumquat Fish Sauce, adding softness and depth for tasty finish.
The menu at COCO beach House leans into Vietnamese ingredients and traditional sauces; the Wok Fried Boston Lobster (which was changed to a Nha Trang Lobster upon my request to Nhi) was served with Egg Noodles, Asparagus and Oyster Sauce. A second Wok Fried Scallop dish that showcases plump juicy scallops with Sticky Rice, Capsicum, XO Sauce brought out both sea-based and fresh notes, with yummy flavoured sauces.
Tofu Pudding unfold as our dessert that delivers an oomph, as I am always impressed by their tofu desserts, that comes in the mix of Ginger Syrup with Coconut Milk; simple yet refreshing a very hearty fresh and grilled seafood lunch; we had some Watermelon Juice and 2 large coconuts (nicely carved out the Resort insignia) to quench my thirst on this hot day!
Zoya
It showcases an Indo-Arabic dining venue inspired by the legendary Silk Road. Here, bold spices, timeless rituals, and culinary traditions from the East and West come together in a captivating flavour journey. Zoya operates solely for dinner between 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm. This fully halal-certified restaurant provides peace of mind and enjoyment, with each dish carefully crafted to honor tradition, ingredients, and culinary integrity.
They offer a wide range of chaat dishes, including Avocado Palak Patta Chaat and Kurkure Aloo Papdi Chaat, alongside tandoor specialties like Dhungaar Paneer, Tandoor Ke Phool, and the signature Sunehera Truffle Murgh Tikka. Seafood is a highlight with options such as Black Grouper Pollichathu, Malabar Fish Curry, and the bold Madurai Pepper Lobster. Comforting classics like Bhuna Ghost Masala, Baigan Alu Ka Saag, and Dal Zoya showcase the art of slow cooking. Soulful biryanis like Hyderabadi Lamb Biryani (Kiraak) and Safed Yakhni Murgh Biryani are beautifully layered with long-grain basmati and gentle spices.
We began our experience with the Avocado Palak Patta Chaat, featuring a blend of avocado and spinach fritters, perfectly prepared for dipping in tamarind and mint sauce, offering a vibrant modern twist. The Black Grouper Pollichathu was exceptionally delightful and among the best I've tasted in Asia; made with locally-caught Phu Quoc black grouper, this dish is wrapped and slow-cooked in banana leaves, then enhanced with homemade tomato garlic chutney and recommended by Chef Prafull.
Living in Singapore, I rarely encounter Chowki Murgh, but I was pleasantly surprised by this rich, slow-cooked North Indian and Mughlai chicken dish. It tasted fantastic with its mix of hand-pounded spices, onions, and yogurt, and the boneless chicken thigh was perfectly simmered in an aromatic, flavorful, and slightly tangy gravy. This was excellently paired with the Garlic Naan, a type of bread traditionally baked in a clay oven with garlic butter, where the brown baked spots enhanced the dish's appeal.
We had to sample their classique Dal, and so we went with the Dal Zoya, which is based on "Chef Javed's" family recipe of black gram (a type of bean) and kidney beans and slow cooked to perfection for 24 hours. Next, we went for the main course, comprising the Kirak Briyani, where the "World's famous Hyderabadi" Lamb biryani is cooked with in-house grounded spices and to the tune of curated perfection, so tasty, just marvelous! We finished off the meal with a generous portion of frozen creamy saffron latched on to a bedding of pistachio parfait, termed the "Kesar Pista Kulfi", it concluded our course with a nice cup of earl grey tea!
“Zoya is my love letter to the Silk Road — a place where cultures met at the table, where spices told stories, and where every dish carried the warmth of a shared journey. Here, I want guests to experience familiar flavors, refined and elevated, yet infused with soul. Every plate is crafted not just to be tasted, but to be remembered,” said Chef Jazib Javed, Chef de Cuisine of Zoya.

The Bay Kitchen
An all-day dining venue featuring a diverse selection of international cuisines and we also had our daily breakfast here with a huge array of breakfast and international delights. Their Xôi or glutinous rice is a highlight here, with both savoury and sweet condiments accompanied by a delightful choice of Vietnamese-centric garnishes and supplements. We like to daily noodles, which can be in the form of a Pho, a Mi Noodle or Bun soup assortment, giving distinctiveness to the Vietnamese culinary culture. Bay Kitchen offers a lively breakfast buffet complete with live cooking stations, allowing guests to savor Phu Quoc specialties, Vietnamese cuisine, and international favorites, all prepared by their skilled chefs.
The Bay Kitchen offers the Summer Escape Afternoon Tea, a sophisticated afternoon tea experience with a tropical theme. It includes fresh fruits, light desserts, and refreshing iced tea pairings such as Coconut Iced Tea and Mango Iced Tea. This is perfect for couples, families, and Instagram-worthy moments, available from 2 PM to 6 PM daily.
The Pool Bar
A laid-back poolside location offering refreshing Bingsu, light snacks, and tropical cocktails, to chill away a relaxing afternoon with your friends and loved ones.

All these culinary ideas embody the resort's dynamic lifestyle experience, where destination dining, social events, and family moments converge by the sea. Alongside upcoming culinary adventures, family activities, and destination-focused collaborations, New World Phu Quoc Resort continues to craft unforgettable getaways for modern travelers exploring the charm and vibrancy of Phu Quoc. These five places reflect a culinary scene shaped by curiosity, craft and a strong sense of place in Southern Phu Quoc.
Khem Beach
An afternoon of leisurely, relaxing time with a cool breeze amongst loved ones on one of the best beaches in Phu Quoc, laden with fine sand, gorgeous sea waves and pretty seashells, this gorgeous Khem beach serves to impress as a natural resource and offers a plethora of sea boating activities, relaxation and fun for the whole family
Kiss of the Sea • Sun Paradise Land
At Sun Paradise Land, visitors can explore a lively destination beyond the resort, where the surrounding ecosystem combines iconic landmarks, cultural spectacles, and world-class entertainment. From scenic cable cars and beachfront promenades to immersive shows and vibrant town experiences, the offerings are designed to enhance your island journey and create unforgettable memories.
Kiss of The Sea begins with an enchanting series of performances unfolding across the open ocean. Choreography, music, light, and water blend from the very first moment, drawing the audience into a world crafted by rhythm and movement. The storytelling embarks with an emotive message that is paired tremendously well with the performances of acrobats, dancers and artistes embedded with water, light, music, fusion, prototypes, pyrotechnics timed to perfection and curated to suit the contrasting sky backdrop.
The journey concludes with a breathtaking finale highlighted by a spectacular and lengthy fireworks display. Elegant yet powerful, the closing moments illuminate the sky and leave a lasting impression long after the final glow fades.
