CJ Hendry (b. 1988) is an artist based in New York originally from Brisbane, Australia, celebrated for her hyper-realistic drawings and immersive, experiential exhibitions. Her work delves into material culture, turning everyday objects into playful, thought-provoking installations—from an Olympic-sized pool in the Mojave Desert to a lively flower market in Brooklyn. With celebrity collectors, sold-out exhibitions worldwide, and a waitlist exceeding 3,000, Hendry is among the most in-demand artists today.

IMBA Theatre is thrilled to announce the Southeast Asia debut of the internationally renowned Australian artist CJ Hendry with juju world, the world’s first inflatable experience dedicated to Hendry’s beloved juju collectible series, opening from 20 June to 18 July 2026.

Famed for her hyperrealistic large-scale drawings and immersive public installations that merge art, spectacle, and popular culture, Hendry has cultivated a global following by making art truly accessible to all. juju world is a ticketed experience, hosted at IMBA Theatre's gallery space at Gardens by the Bay.

juju world is the world’s first inflatable experience centered around juju, Hendry’s dynamic collectible toy series. This is the first juju experience in yellow, a striking visual statement and a new colorway for the series. CJ shared that yellow is one of her favorite colors, thus leading the thematic expression for this showcase. When asked about the origin of the name "juju," it was revealed to be a nickname from her mother, adding a homely touch.

Limited, large-sized jujus will be crafted exclusively for Singapore, unavailable elsewhere once the experience concludes on 18 July 2026. Playful and visually captivating, the experience extends Hendry’s signature style, transforming the everyday into surreal environments. Together, Flower Market and juju world represent the most ambitious presentation of Hendry’s works in Southeast Asia to date.
