DENZA, the premium luxury brand under BYD, has introduced the DENZA B5 in Singapore, marking its entry into the high-end electrified off-road SUV market. The DENZA B5 is crafted to blend advanced electrification with genuine off-road capabilities, redefining the luxury SUV by merging intelligent hybrid performance, robust versatility, and refined comfort into one impressive package.

The launch in Singapore also highlighted a lifestyle collaboration between DENZA and METT Singapore, showcasing a shared philosophy focused on modern design, enhanced experiences, and a contemporary approach to premium living.

Luxury That Commands Presence

The DENZA B5 boasts a unique design characterized by strength and precision. Its architectural silhouette features clean, rugged lines, a wide stance, pronounced wheel arches, and a bold front grille, creating a commanding presence on the road.

A full-size rear-mounted spare wheel with a side-opening tailgate emphasizes its off-road identity while maintaining a sophisticated and modern luxury appearance.

The design is based on a hybrid-specific body-on-frame platform, engineered to combine structural durability with a smooth ride. The vehicle is equipped with front and rear double-wishbone independent suspension, enhancing stability, wheel articulation, and driving comfort across varied terrains.

Advanced Plug-in Hybrid Performance

The DENZA B5 is powered by BYD’s DMO (Dual Mode Off-Road) Super Hybrid Platform, an electrified system designed for high-performance off-road applications. The powertrain combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with dual electric motors, producing a combined output exceeding 400 kW and 760 Nm of torque. This allows the B5 to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds while maintaining exceptional efficiency.

Energy is stored in BYD’s 31.8 kWh Blade Battery, providing up to 90 km of pure electric driving range and supporting a combined driving range of up to 1,000 km, enabling drivers to enjoy quiet electric mobility in daily urban driving while retaining long-distance capability.

Engineered for True Off-Road Capability

The DENZA B5 is developed to deliver genuine off-road performance supported by intelligent vehicle dynamics systems. The vehicle features Multi-Terrain Mode Optimisation with 16 selectable drive modes, allowing the SUV to adapt precisely to varying driving conditions, including sand, mud, snow, and rocky terrain.

An intelligent all-wheel-drive system with front and rear electronic differential locks works alongside a proprietary electronic center locking mechanism, enabling rapid torque distribution across the drivetrain to maximize traction and control. This advanced drivetrain architecture allows the B5 to confidently tackle challenging environments, including 45-degree steep inclines, while maintaining stability and composure.

Safety is the Real Luxury

The DENZA B5 features a reinforced body structure designed to enhance occupant protection and vehicle durability. The chassis incorporates Cell-to-Chassis battery integration technology, enhancing the vehicle's structural rigidity. Built from 96% high-strength steel, the reinforced frame can withstand up to 12 tonnes of roof compression.

The battery system is protected by a multi-layer safety structure that includes reinforced shielding and energy-absorbing materials to ensure durability under demanding conditions. The vehicle’s safety performance has also been recognized with a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.

Premium Comfort and Intelligent Cabin Experience

Inside the DENZA B5, the interior is designed as a luxurious and functional living space. Passengers are welcomed by premium leather seats equipped with ventilation, heating, and massage functions, providing exceptional comfort during long journeys.

The cabin also features a Devialet premium audio system with 16 speakers, delivering immersive sound throughout the interior. Practical lifestyle features include an integrated center-console refrigerator with both cooling and heating capability, as well as 50W wireless smartphone charging. Together, these elements create an environment that blends advanced technology, luxury craftsmanship, and everyday convenience.

Personalisation and Craftsmanship

The DENZA B5 is designed to reflect the individuality of its owner through thoughtful personalisation. Customers can choose from six exterior colours and three interior colour themes, allowing each vehicle to be configured to match distinct preferences and lifestyles.

Combined with carefully selected premium materials and meticulous craftsmanship throughout the cabin, these options ensure that every DENZA B5 delivers a sense of exclusivity while maintaining the brand’s signature balance of luxury and performance.

The DENZA B5 will be available at all DENZA showrooms from 19 March 2026, with a retail price of S$368,888. To mark its launch, an exclusive early bird incentive of S$20,000 is being offered, bringing the limited-time launch price to S$348,888.
