Ready to party: Singapore’s biggest street festival in three years unleashed

22 July 2022, Singapore – The stage is set for Singapore’s biggest party in three years, as the Formula 1 night race gets back on track this 30th September to 2nd October. Gear up for a weekend of high-octane action and entertainment, as event organiser Singapore GP Pte Ltd unveils a power-packed race weekend line-up for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022. Joining the previously announced acts Marshmello, Westlife, and Green Day, this year’s programme also features Black Eyed Peas, The Kid LAROI, TLC, and Suede as well as an exciting mix of local and international artists from all over the world.


The three-day race weekend now includes over 100 hours of entertainment throughout the Circuit Park, including 92 performances across nine stages, 79 roving acts as well as an array of art installations and activities to enthral crowds.


Four additional main stage acts for the race weekend


Having sold more than 35 million albums and 120 million singles worldwide, American pop-rap group Black Eyed Peas is one of the best-selling acts of all time. Currently made up of will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo, and featuring J. Rey Soul, the group’s numerous hits include Where Is The Love, I Got A Feeling, Ritmo, Girl Like Me and more. Ranked 12th on Billboard’s Decade-End Chart Artist Of The Decade and Seventh on Billboard’s Hot 100 Artists Of The Decade, the group has won six Grammy Awards including Record Of The Year and Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. The band recently collaborated with a host of fellow superstar artists, including Shakira, David Guetta, J Balvin, Ozuna, Nicky Jam, Maluma and more, as their latest album Translation lit up charts around the world. Currently on a major European tour, Black Eyed Peas will make an exclusive stopover in Asia to perform at the Padang Stage (Zone 4, Saturday, 1 October) and the Wharf Stage (Zone 1, Sunday, 2 October).


Australian breakout star, rapper, singer and songwriter The Kid LAROI brings his enigmatic live show to the Zone 4 Padang Stage on Sunday, 2 October. The Kid LAROI has garnered 14.5 billion streams worldwide with hits like Stay (with Justin Bieber), Thousand Miles and WITHOUT YOU. His debut album ‘F*CK LOVE’ reached #1 on the Billboard 200 and is RIAA-certified double platinum. Earlier this year, The Kid LAROI bagged five Billboard Music Awards including the awards for Top Streaming Song, Top Collaboration, and Top Hot 100.



TLC will bring their CrazySexyCool to the Zone 1 Wharf Stage on Saturday, 1 October. With 70million records sold worldwide, four Grammy Awards, two RIAA diamond-certified albums among a total of four multi-platinum albums, ten Top 10 singles, and four number one singles, they are the undisputed best-selling American girl group of all time. One of the greatest legacies in music history, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes gave music fans hits like Waterfalls, Creep, No Scrubs, Unpretty and many more.


Classic British alternative band Suede will energise fans with their glam rock numbers at the Zone 1 Wharf Stage on Saturday, 1 October. Featuring guitarist Richard Oakes, bass player Mat Osman, drummer Simon Gilbert, keyboardist Neil Codling, and the instantly recognisable vocals of frontman Brett Anderson, the legendary band is associated with fostering the Britpop movement in the mid-1990s. Three of the influential group’s five studio albums have reached number one in the UK and their hits include, Animal Nitrate, Beautiful Ones, Saturday Night, and She’s In Fashion.


Sensational talents at every turn


Adding to the festival atmosphere are a fantastic mix of international and local performers and roving acts who will perform throughout the Circuit Park. The international line-up features American indie pop band iDKHOW, Swedish-Gambian singer/songwriter Seinabo Sey, Kerala-based multilingual indie-folk alternative band When Chai Met Toast, Malaysian reggae band Salammusik , as well as Israeli electronic music project Garden City Movement. Singaporean acts to watch out for include singer/songwriter INCH, hip-hop duo ihasamic! & Wovensound, rapper Shigga Shay, dancers ScRach MarcS, as well as music producer and DJ WUKONG. Singapore GP will also be shining the spotlight on local artists including 8EyedSpud,Adeline Loo of It Takes Balls, HAFI, Koh Dawn,Lee Wei Lieh of Very Small Exhibition, and Paper Carpenter to display their works at specially curated experiential zones within the Circuit Park. These zones offers a host of interactive activities, entertainment as well as food and beverage. Refer to Annex B for more information on the installations.


All tickets to the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022 will allow fans to enjoy the on-track action as well as the activities and performances in Zone 4 of the Circuit Park.
