Swiss Haute Horlogerie Audemars Piguet is delighted to present two new versions of the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Selfwinding model in 38 mm, introduced in 2023, both crafted from 18-carat pink gold. Available in Selfwinding or Selfwinding Chronograph models, these new Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet watches in 18-carat pink gold feature the distinctive embossed dial pattern, specially designed for the collection by the Audemars Piguet design team in collaboration with Swiss guilloché artisan Yann von Kaenel.

Offering an elegant and warm aesthetic contrast, the new models feature either dark, intense tones or light, luminous hues, each exuding a timeless and fluid charm. The first reference features a black dial with an alligator strap, while the second boasts a silver-toned dial with a new brown calfskin strap with white stitching. Both dials showcase the collection’s signature motif: concentric circles reminiscent of rippling water, highlighted by fine grooves that catch the light. Against this backdrop, 18-carat pink gold hour markers and luminescent hands stand out, enhancing the legibility, comfort, and modernity of these multifaceted designs.

These three-hand references are driven by Calibre 5900, the Manufacture’s latest generation selfwinding movement, which combines slenderness (3.9mm), high frequency (4Hz), and a 60-hour power reserve. The sapphire caseback reveals the dedicated 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight and refined decorations including polished angles, vertical satin brushing, Côtes de Genève, perlage, and chamfering.
Blending timeless aesthetics with advanced watchmaking techniques, these new versions continue to showcase the versatility and elegance of the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet collection.
Key Features & Design
Design Philosophy: The name stands for Challenge, Own, Dare, Evolve, with "11.59" representing the last minute before a new day.
Case Construction:
Features an unconventional three-piece construction: an octagonal case middle sandwiched between a round, extra-thin bezel and a circular caseback.
Crystal: A unique double-curved sapphire crystal, which is cambered on the inside and curved on the outside, creates a distinct visual distortion.
Lugs: Open-worked lugs are welded to the top bezel and sit just above the caseback for a modern architectural look.
Dial: Early models featured lacquered dials; newer versions often feature smoked dials, aventurine, or stamped patterns.
These new models follow the different evolutions that the collection has seen in 2023. In addition to the new signature decoration now appearing on certain 41 mm gold models, the 38 mm line has now been enriched with new references and original colours, enabling the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet to be worn on all types of wrists, illustrating its extreme versatility as well as its contemporary spirit, as shared by Sofia Candeias, Product Director of Audemars Piguet.
