JMEV Officially Launches in Singapore with Debut of Flagship Electric Sedan - the ELIGHT

JMEV, a prominent emerging player in China's electric vehicle (EV) sector, made its official debut in Singapore on 29 July through its exclusive distributor, Valor Auto, marking a significant advancement in the country's journey toward electrified transportation.

Established in 2015, JMEV (Jiangling Motors Electric Vehicle) is a trailblazer in China's new energy vehicle industry. As a part of Jiangling Motors Group (JMCG) and supported by Renault, JMEV is now exporting to more than 30 countries throughout Southeast Asia, South America, and Europe. By entering the Singapore market, JMEV is positioning itself to emerge as a prominent EV brand in the region, integrating design, intelligence, and clean energy.

The grand launch event, hosted at the new JMEV showroom in Telok Kurau, celebrates the brand's introduction to the Singapore market, making it the second Southeast Asian nation to embrace JMEV. As a subsidiary of Jiangling Motors Group (JMCG), a well-regarded state-owned company founded in 1947, JMEV brings extensive automotive expertise, innovative thinking, and a strong dedication to sustainability.

With increasing international recognition and strategic backing, including a major investment by Renault Group in 2019, JMEV is swiftly establishing itself as a formidable global player in the EV market.

Introducing the JMEV ELIGHT

The JMEV ELIGHT is making its first appearance in Singapore as a 5-seater electric sedan inspired by sports coupes, embodying a new and innovative approach to electric vehicles. The ELIGHT combines everyday practicality with intelligent design, impressive range, and unexpected spaciousness. Equipped with a 108kW electric motor compatible with Category A and a 63kWh battery, it offers a tested range of up to 600km in urban settings — perfect for city commutes and weekend trips.

Inside, the ELIGHT stands out with its 2.75-meter wheelbase, providing leading legroom for rear passengers and a premium cabin experience — all at an affordable and accessible price point. Its sporty electric coupe design is highlighted by sleek lines, flush door handles, and a contemporary front profile, offering elegant aesthetics that complement its smart performance. With a blend of range, style, space, and technology, the ELIGHT makes electric driving more convenient and thrilling than ever.
