England’s leading producer of sparkling wine and Singapore’s leading private members club have joined forces to launch The NyetimberSecret Garden at 1880. From Sunday, 1st December 2019 to Saturday, 29th February 2020, 1880’s terrace will be transformed into a whimsical secret garden inspired by the English countryside with abundant displays of lush florals and foliage, a dedicated Nyetimber bar, and twinkling lights — setting the stage for an elegant evening enjoying a glass or two of English sparkling wine.
Tucked above the vibrant Robertson Quay neighbourhood, with uninterrupted views of the Singapore River, The Nyetimber Secret Garden at 1880 will serve Nyetimber Classic Cuvee and Rosé by the glass and bottle. Inspired by his own British heritage, 1880’s Head Chef Colin Buchan has designed a special pairing menu of small plates, which will be available exclusively during the activation. Drawing on his experience running kitchens across the globe for Gordon Ramsay, Jason Atherton and Marco Pierre White, the menu will celebrate British flavours while perfectly complementing the complex profile of the Nyetimber wines. A series of unique programming and special events will take place throughout the course of the activation.
Nyetimber was the first producer to exclusively grow the three celebrated grapes varieties — Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay — and for over 30 years, Nyetimber has been dedicated to the production of the finest English sparkling wine. Numerous accolades and awards have positioned the brand as an internationally renowned producer, surpassing all expectations of what can be achieved in English winemaking. Most recently, Nyetimber’s Blanc de Blancs 2013 received England’s first ever Gold Medal at the Decanter Asia Wine Awards 2019, announced in September.
Following a successful market entry into Singapore earlier this year, this partnership with the city’s most prestigious private members club cements Nyetimber’s international position as England’s finest sparkling wine producer.
The Nyetimber Secret Garden at 1880 Singapore will launch on 1st December 2019 and be open until 29th February 2020.
