Masalaa Bar Launches New Menu

MASALAA BAR LAUNCHES NEW MENU FEATURING COASTAL FAVOURITES, COMFORT FOODS AND CROWD PLEASERS

Appetizers & Mains - A selection of crowd favourites, including the traditional coastal delight, Konkani Gazalee, and the comforting Burmese Khausuey, given a unique twist by Chef Milind

Signature Dishes - Healthy Sprout Bhel, a wholesome take on Bombay's beloved Bhel Puri, and the CKP Style Kheema Pattice, a crispy potato patty filled with mutton mince, offering a taste of regional Indian flavours

• Street Food Staples - Jhakass Anda Bhurji (Mumbai street-style scrambled eggs), SPDP (Pune’s famous Sevpuri and Dahi Puri), and Sabudana Wada (crispy sago and potato Marathi delicacy), adding a unique twist to classic Indian street food

• Every Wednesday - Wednesdays at Masalaa Bar are made special with Maharashtra’s beloved all- day snack, Misal Pav, reimagined as Dhuvaa Daar Misal. The traditional sprout curry is served with a smoky Marathi spice twist. For the first time, patrons can also enjoy the unique Mutton Kheema Misal, a Chef Milind creation, adding a bold twist to this classic dish.

One of the most anticipated additions is the Konkani Gazalee Menu, now a permanent fixture at Masaala Bar. This menu brings the vibrant flavours of Konkan cuisine to Singapore, offering an authentic taste of the region as the only restaurant in the city serving these traditional coastal Indian dishes.

"We're constantly evolving and striving to offer our guests something new while while staying true to the authentic essence of India", says Chef Milind Sovani.

We dropped by one day recently to sample the new menu, and started off with a Bloody Margarita from the bar, paired with starters like the Jhakaas Anda Bhurjee and Healthy Sprout Bhel, which is a wholesome twist on Bombay’s famous Bhel Puri. Made with moong sprouts, puffed rice, veggies, and a tangy tamarind dressing, it offers a healthier, guilt-free take on the classic street food.

We then moved on to the serious stuff, with Butter Garlic Prawns, MB Special Ghee Roast Chicken and Jhakaas Anda Bjurjee.

Overall Verdict: An excellent dining experience with a full cocktail and spirits bar available to pair with the cuisine.
