Singapore, 14 July 2016 – Jaguar is excited to launch its first-ever luxury performance SUV in Singapore. Inspired by the acclaimed C-X17 concept vehicle, the All-new Jaguar F-PACE bears all the trademarks of a Jaguar – pure form, beautiful lines and a sporting silhouette. Embodying the pure Jaguar DNA of legendary performance, exceptional handling and luxury, the F-PACE combines maximum driving exhilaration with space and everyday versatility and is the ultimate practical sports car.
A performance crossover with the DNA of a sports car, the F-PACE’s progressive and purposeful appearance is greatly influenced by the F-TYPE. From the bonnet bulge to the pronounced rear haunches, its powerful, agile looks give it that distinctive, head-turning Jaguar presence. Developed using Jaguar’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture, the F-PACE’s aluminium- intensive monocoque gives it a high torsional stiffness with unrivalled weight. This extremely robust structure, together with the F-TYPE-derived double wishbone front suspension and sophisticated Integral Link rear suspension, sets the benchmark for driving dynamics in its class. With Torque Vectoring as standard and an Electric Power Assisted Steering system tuned to give the best possible feel and response, the F-PACE offers the ideal balance of precise handling and body control, making the F-PACE as rewarding to drive as it is comfortable to be driven in.
F-PACE is brought to life through the power of its engines combined with Jaguar’s advanced dynamic performance technologies. Wholly designed and manufactured in-house, the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged Ingenium diesel engine delivers performance, efficiency and refinement without compromise to its power and torque output of 180PS/430Nm. With a fuel consumption of 5.5L/100km and 145g/km of CO2 emissions on the European combined cycle, the diesel 180PS version makes the F-PACE highly fuel efficient while still packing enough punch to complete the century sprint in 8.7s.
The All-new F-PACE is also available in the 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engines that are shared with the F-TYPE. Characterised by their immediate throttle response, linear power delivery and unique intake and exhaust sound, the 340PS and 380PS all-aluminium powerplants promise a rewarding experience, delivering instant access to high levels of performance and refinement. Tuned for 340PS/450Nm and 380PS/450Nm, the V6es are capable of reaching 100km/h from zero in 5.8s and 5.5s respectively.
Together with Jaguar’s most sophisticated torque on-demand all-wheel drive (AWD) system ever and specifically optimised ZF 8HP eight-speed automatic transmissions, the All-new F-PACE offers a peerless driving experience. It features the advanced, in-house Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) control system first developed for F-TYPE AWD, which preserves rear-wheel drive agility and handling character. Whenever greater traction is needed, IDD seamlessly transfers precisely the right amount of torque to the front axle, allowing the All-new F-PACE to exploit performance benefits of extra traction on all surfaces and in all weather conditions.
Further enhancing the F-PACE’s AWD system is the optional Adaptive Surface Response (ASR) technology. Developed from Land Rover’s patented, award-winning Terrain Response technology, the ASR makes the AWD system even more effective in challenging conditions. Integrated into the Jaguar Drive Control system, ASR identifies the type of surface and optimises the mapping of the powertrain and Dynamic Stability Control system, helping the driver to make smooth progress even in the most challenging conditions.
Jaguar has also built into the F-PACE some of the most advanced driver assistance systems available. From systems that improve low-speed traction in adverse conditions to blind spot monitoring, the F-PACE features a suite of technologies developed to make driving safe and more enjoyable.
Jaguar’s revolutionary All Surface Progress Control (ASPC), which debuted in the XE, comes standard with the F-PACE. Leveraging on decades of Jaguar Land Rover experience in off-road traction systems, this unique traction management system can electronically gain traction in seconds and is ideal for use on low-grip surfaces. The optional Adaptive Cruise Control system with Queue Assist enhances the driving experience by reducing driver workload when cruising and relieving the monotony of driving in heavy traffic. The long-range radar maintains a safe distance to the vehicle in front, all the way to a standstill. Press the accelerator again and the F-PACE pulls away, while tracking the vehicle in front up to the chosen speed setting.
Combining maximum driving exhilaration with beauty and practicality, the F- PACE builds on Jaguar’s rich history of designing stunning cars. The F-PACE continues this tradition of uncompromised form and function with its sleek, sporty styling and elegant interior that is both spacious and practical. C combined with a meticulous attention to makes for an interior that exudes sophistication and bold sporting style, enhancing the driving experience. The F-PACE will be available in four trim levels – the entry-level Prestige, the sporty R-Sport and high performance S and First Edition, a special model to celebrate the launch of the All-new F-PACE.
Available in strictly limited numbers and in the first year of production only, the First Edition is powered by the 380PS Supercharged V6 petrol engine and is distinguished by two unique metallic paint colours – Caesium Blue and Halcyon Gold, clear references to the breakthrough C-X17 concept unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt and Guangzhou Motor Shows. Further highlights of the F-PACE First Edition include 22-inch Double Helix 15-spoke wheels with Grey finish and contrast inserts, Adaptive Dynamics, full-LED headlights, Gloss Black fender vents and a sliding panoramic roof.
Inside, the Windsor soft-grain leather seats in Light Oyster feature twin-needle stitching and an embossed houndstooth pattern influenced by the C-X17’s award-winning interior. The traditional Jaguar craftsmanship blends seamlessly with the configurable 10-colour ambient lighting, state-of-the-art InControl Touch Pro infotainment system and the 12.3-inch HD virtual instrument cluster.
