Gastronomic, Wellness, Fitness and Tour Options in the Robertson Quay Vicinity

We took the moment to also uncover the Quay area, where we enjoyed the picturesque riverfront scenery, featuring historic sites like the Alkaff Bridge and Clemenceau Mural while riding the lovely Tokyo Bikes. One can also find local retail treasures and savor an afternoon coffee at New Bahru, which is just 10 minutes away, and also take advantage of special offers with The Quay Insider; guests can show their hotel keycard at participating shops along The Quayside and in New Bahru.

Design

Crafted by the innovative SCDA Architects, the hotel reimagines luxury through a unique residential-inspired atmosphere that exudes warmth and sophistication. Honoring Robertson Quay’s historical roots as a warehouse district, the design incorporates industrial-chic elements with warm copper tones, refined textures, and striking shutter gate installations, blending contemporary elegance with the area's rich heritage.

Rooms

The hotel offers 225 well-appointed rooms, including 16 Junior Suites and a premier Penthouse Suite, all featuring expansive glass windows that welcome natural light and provide guests with panoramic views of the city and tranquil riverfront

We stayed in a Junior Suite River View Room and the view was just spectacular; a wonderful room with brilliant shower amenities and toiletries and a fantastic river view and you can see folks exercising, biking and strolling early in the morning, so serene! Enhancing home comforts, luxurious Byredo bath products pamper the senses while minimizing single-use plastics, paired with a Bose Bluetooth soundbar, Nespresso coffee machine, Monogram Teas, and a pillow menu offering six choices for a restful sleep. The Shower Space in the room was extremely generous! Tailored for the modern traveler, guests receive complimentary access to Timeshifter for effortless time zone adjustment and premium MindFi access for guided meditations and wellness exercises.

Club InterContinental Lounge

At the Club InterContinental Lounge, Club-assigned guests can enjoy private moments as well as morning breakfast, afternoon tea, and cocktail hours, with lounge access throughout their stay from 6:30am to 10:30pm. There is a 24-hour Fitness Centre, an Outdoor Pool, and Complimentary Tokyo Bikes available for guest use.

We explored the 2pm - 4pm time slot for our Afternoon tea, where the Monogram Tea is thoughtfully curated to complement each other, allowing us to mix and match various blends to discover new aromas. Between 6pm and 8pm, we indulged in evening cocktails and canapés at the Club InterContinental Lounge. We also had the opportunity to use the alfresco terrace, offering us uninterrupted views of the sunset over the Singapore River, which was simply perfect!

Breakfast at Club InterContinental Lounge or Publico Ristorante (level 1)

There was a good diversity on the breakfast spread, and in all the hotels that we have stayed in, the porridge selection is the most comprehensive ; the Simple Porridge dish has all the necessary ticks - green spring onions, salted fried dace and black beans, salted egg, century egg, braised peanuts and pickled lettuce; the only breakfast porridge in Asia with the right and complete spread of accompanying condiments and mini side dishes (Rating 9.2/10); there was also freshly squeezed sugar cane juice which is a highlight of a local beverage at this hotel, and we couldn't miss the Local Singapore breakfast of kaya toast with soft boiled eggs. Immaculate!

Dining

The hotel and its vicinity boast more than 20 acclaimed restaurants and bars. Enjoy contemporary Italian dishes and handcrafted cocktails at the award-winning PUBLICO, savor expertly crafted drinks in the intimate atmosphere of the newly opened CODA, or indulge in a premium steak at the famous Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. InterContinental® Singapore Robertson Quay provides a culinary adventure that mirrors the lively spirit of its environment.

Publico - Piccoli Piatti

We went over to Publico to enjoy their new selection of petit plates for lunch at their Ristorante and Garden on Level 1 of the hotel. Packed with flavor and compact in size, their weekday lunch concept is ideal for mixing, matching, and enjoying every bite.

Our first dish was the Yellowtail Crudo - a celebration of Fresh Citrus Cured Hamachi, Shishito Peppers, Orange, Red Onions, Preserved Lemon Glaze, Perilla Oil. Then we had the Tuna & Canellini Bean Salad, which was splendid and comprised of Ahi Tuna, Shaved Fennel, Organic Greens, Cherry Tomatoes, Sliced Olives, Pickled Onions, Parmigiano, Yogurt Balsamic Dressing.

The third dish was the familiar Bruschetta Burrata, bursting with the right flavors of Pugliese Burrata, Marinated Heirloom Tomatoes, Fresh Basil, Year-Aged Balsamic and we went on to the Focaccia Hand-Cut Pappardelle Pesto consisting of Herb Pesto, Pinenut Crumble, Parmigiano. Our 5th course, which was just so tasty was the Florentina Pizza - Smoked Burrata, Creamed Spinach & Friareli, Anchovies, Baked Egg.

We went on to the DOLCE section of their menu, which is essentially handmade using premium fresh ingredients, so we sampled the Affogato, a combination of Espresso Ganache, Vanilla Tart Shell, Cornflake Crumble, Kahlua Reduction, Vanilla Gelato, just brilliant and for the wine, we had a Chardonnay from

Tuscany Italy - Il Borro Le Lamelle IGT '23, a perfect combination! Truly a hallmark of distinction to do small petit dishes which is very different from what they typically serve as large main courses in Italy, but the whole idea is to have a smaller sampling version so there is a greater opportunity to try more dishes with more punch and flavours! a Great idea on the part of the culinary team!

CODA

We had the opportunity to savour stunning cocktails that highlight Asian spirits at the brand-new hidden-cocktail venue CODA while grooving to melodic house. Our hosts were Treyna & Bern and they truly took very good care of us, and their thematic origins for their cocktail bar concept is based on mood inspirations. The atmosphere was light-hearted, the design minimalist-quiet-calm and the colours enticing and soothing, which makes me wanna stay for a long time and try MORE cocktails.

We examined their menu throughly and went through the various concepts of Blue hour, which is the golden moment of One hour before sunrise and one hour after sunse and tried the Momo, simply tasty! On the Elysian fields, which is lifted from Greek mythology, it all about being in a State of being. On the chapter of Fragmented Consciousness, it's all about getting excited and getting all ready; and for the Chasing Fireflies segment, it's driven around the nuances of Happiness and Joyfulnes, so we tried the Fling, super cool bouquet and it will just simply grow on you as a cocktail delight!

We also tried the Mandarin, and this was my favourite, contextually marvellous, super refreshing and I like the way how a mini orange peel is entrenched on top of an ice cube and iI saw how Bernard does it.. just like a kung fu movie!
