DESCRIPTION: InterContinental Hong Kong is actually built over the harbour’s edge and therefore provides spectacular uninterrupted views of Hong Kong Island and bustling Victoria Harbour. The 17-storey hotel has a sleek and contemporary design. The building is clad in red granite with polished granite. The interiors are of polished granite and marble. The three-storey high plate glass windows maximise the hotel’s unique panoramic location, affording sweeping views from the Lobby, restaurants and guest rooms.


ACCOMMODATION:

503 luxuriously appointed rooms including 87 suites. Almost two-thirds of the guest rooms, including all suites overlook Victoria Harbour. The other rooms have views of the outdoor swimming pool and landscaped Pool Terrace.

All guestrooms and suites have high-speed internet access, Handy smartphones, 24-hour butler service and in-room dining.


For the ultimate Hong Kong experience, the hotel has three signature suites with private outdoor terraces and whirlpools overlooking the harbour. These unique suites include the one-bedroom Terrace Suite, CEO Suite and the spectacular 7,000 square foot Presidential Suite, which is the largest in Hong Kong. Butler Service: InterContinental Hong Kong has a staff of approximately 750 providing an extremely high ratio of staff to guests. All rooms and suites have 24-hour butler service, in addition to twice daily housekeeping service. At the touch of the service button or a call to “Instant Service, our butlers will assist with laundry, shoe cleaning and shining and other such housekeeping matters.


“Handy” Smartphone: The complimentary customised smartphone allows guests-in-residence to stay connected, anywhere, anytime during their stay as they explore the wonders of Hong Kong, with unlimited local calls and international calls (to & from over 20 countries and regions), free 4G internet access, interactive maps, a Hong Kong city guide and special offers.

Instant Service: The Instant Service Centre provides a 24-hour one-stop service for all guests’ requests.


Laundry: All guest laundry and dry-cleaning is handled on the premises by the hotel’s own laundry, which is open 24 hours. Same- day laundry and dry-cleaning are offered at no extra charge if items are passed to your butler by 12 noon.


Amenities: All guests checking into InterContinental Hong Kong receive fresh fruit, with a choice of welcome tea. In all bathrooms, plush terrycloth bath towels and robes, slippers, hairdryers and toiletries are provided. A daily newspaper is delivered to each guest room on a complimentary basis. A selection of over 200 international newspapers from 66 countries is also available upon request. Refrigerators with fully stocked mini-bars and complimentary mineral water are in all rooms and suites. A kettle with complimentary tea is available in every guestroom. Located on the Second Floor with stunning views of Victoria Harbor and Hong Kong Island, Club InterContinental, the Executive Lounge, is an exclusive retreat for conducting business or simply relaxing. It provides a spacious and luxurious, yet private setting. Guests-in-residence can enjoy the exclusive facilities and services, as well as the privacy and convenience of Club InterContinental, for an additional daily charge.

Club InterContinental access is inclusive of daily breakfast buffet, afternoon tea and evening cocktails from 6:00pm-8:00pm, plus personalised concierge services.


RESTAURANTS:

InterContinental Hong Kong has five outstanding international restaurants, all with superb harbourviews, plus four bars / lounges, a Pool Terrace which serves breakfast and all-day snacks (for guests in residence), and 24-hour in-room dining.


Rech by Alain Ducasse: Recipient of 1-Michelin star in the 2019 Michelin Guide (HK & Macau) for the second consecutive year, Rech by Alain Ducasse is the first international outpost of one of the most famous seafood restaurants in Paris. Rech was founded by Adrien Rech in 1925 and reborn by Alain Ducasse in 2007. It made its international debut at InterContinental Hong Kong in March 2017. An authentically French seafood experience, it showcases the freshest oysters and fish from France with Chef Alain Ducasse’s personal interpretation and contemporary cuisine. Open daily for dinner from 6:00pm to 11:00pm for dinner and Saturday and Sunday for lunch from 12 noon – 2:30pm. Seats: 78. Semi-private dining areas are available. Attire: Smart casual.


Yan Toh Heen: Recipient of Five stars from Forbes Travel Guide and 2-Michelin stars in the 2019 Michelin Guide for the fifth consecutive year, Yan Toh Heen is renowned for the quality of its traditional Cantonese cuisine, with a contemporary presentation. Its elegant décor is inspired by a jade jewellery box which opens to reveal treasured collectibles and discoveries of Cantonese culinary arts, with exquisite table settings of hand-carved green jade as a prominent feature. Open from 12:00noon – 12:30pm for lunch and 6:00pm-11:00pm for dinner. Seats: 140, including the Private Dining Rooms. Attire: Smart casual.


THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill: THE STEAK HOUSE features prime cuts of the finest beef from around the world, perfectly seared on Hong Kong’s only charcoal grill. It also has the city’s most elaborate salad bar and an eclectic selection of condiments including 12 specially blended mustards and eight exotic rock salts. The winebar features an extensive selection of international wines with over 500 vintages. Open daily for dinner from 6:00pm – 11:00pm and on Saturdays and Sundays for lunch from 12 noon – 2:30pm. Harbourside: Literally located at the harbour’s edge, Harbourside offers all-day dining in a casual and relaxed setting. Most popular for its elaborate international buffets with Asian and Western specialties, the Harbourside breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and Sunday Champagne Brunch are dining experiences not to be missed. There is also an extensive à la carte menu. Open: 6:00am to 12:30am. Seats: 180. Attire: Smart Casual.


NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong: NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong features the innovative new-style Japanese cuisine of world-famous chef Nobu Matsuhisa, with a stunning interior design by David Rockwell. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa draws upon his classical training at a Tokyo sushi bar, his life abroad in Peru and Argentina and his travels around the world to create a whole new trend in Japanese cooking. Open daily: 12:00 noon – 2:30pm for lunch and 6:00pm-11:00pm for dinner. The NOBU Bar Lounge: daily 6:00pm-12 midnight. Seats: 130 for dinner / Bar Lounge: 32. Attire: Smart casual


Lobby Lounge: Renowned for its magnificent panoramic view of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, with three-storey plate-glass wrap-around windows, the Lobby Lounge is one of Hong Kong’s most popular meeting places. It offers light breakfast, themed Afternoon Tea Sets, a snack menu and tempting desserts throughout the day and night. This dramatic venue also serves “#852TAILS of Hong Kong” signature cocktails, inspired by Hong Kong’s rich heritage — best enjoyed at twilight when the Hong Kong skyline changes to a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours.

RECREATION:

Pool Terrace: The Pool Terrace provides an Asian resort ambiance in the heart of Hong Kong, with a large outdoor swimming pool and teak-decked dining pavilion set amidst lily ponds and a waterfall, plus infinity spa pools overlooking Victoria Harbour. Guests in residence can take part in complimentary tai chi classes at the Pool Terrace. Yoga classes are offered on the weekend.


Fitness Centre: The fully equipped Fitness Centre is open 24 hours daily. Personal fitness instructors can be arranged upon request.


I-Spa: An oasis in the midst of the hustling and bustling ambience of Hong Kong and Hong Kong’s first feng shui-inspired spa, I-Spa is a retreat based on the principle of inner and outer harmony with body and facial treatments as well as half and full day programmes to relax, rejuvenate and rebalance one’s entire being. Each of Its luxurious private suites is clad in polished green granite, with sauna, steam-shower and whirlpool bathtub. Open daily by appointment: 8:00am – 10:00pm.

MEETINGS:

InterContinental Hong Kong has 11 harbourview function rooms, with contemporary décor and the latest technology. Some rooms can be extended to form a larger area accommodating up to 200 for dinner or 300 for cocktails. Their experienced Events team can custom-design menus and decor, and handle all your social and business requirements. A magnificent white Italian Carrara marble staircase leads from the main hotel lobby to the InterContinental Ballroom, one of the city’s largest pillarless ballrooms (885 sq m). The Ballroom also features one of the city’s largest hotel LED walls. The InterContinental Ballroom accommodates up to 1,000 people for cocktails and up to 720 people for banquets. An adjacent pre-function area can accommodate up to 500 for cocktails.


BUSINESS CENTRE:

The Business Centre offers a deluxe boardroom, a small office, individual work-stations and a full range of secretarial services. There is also a comprehensive reference library. Complimentary fax machines can be set up in your guest room upon request; and mobile telephones are available for hire. In addition, the most current newspapers and magazines may be purchased here. Open 9:00am to 7:00pm daily.


TRANSPORTATION:

InterContinental Hong Kong maintains a fleet of Mercedes limousines for airport transfers or general city use. A Bentley and two Phantom VI Rolls-Royces are also available for limousine hire.
