New Zealand took home the title of champions at the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens 2023. During an electrifying weekend of spectacular rugby and ecstatic fun zones, the All Blacks Sevens reclaimed the Singapore title they once owned in 2005, with a thrilling 19 - 17 defeat of Argentina. Their undefeated winning streak this weekend also guaranteed their spot at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.
Over the past two days, close to 40,000 fans enjoyed the fun-filled air and vibrant energy of the Family Sevens that reverberated across the Singapore Sports Hub. Fans cheered their lungs out for their favourite teams, explored the plethora of family-friendly activities at the 100PLUS Promenade, and even jammed out to live performances at OCBC Square. Fans showcased their creativity through costumes with Teletubbies, giant bumblebees, human hot-dogs, Easter bunnies and many more strutting their stuff in the stands.

Sixteen countries battled for precious points as they eye for a chance to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Everyone is going... "Will Fiji defend their crown? Will powerhouse New Zealand thunder for a win? Or will South Africa emerge victorious?" Amidst all the action, catch the legends including South Africa’s Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira, 2019 Rugby World Cup Winner along with Canada’s Nathan Hirayama, third all-time points-scorer on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. Joining them is New Zealand’s Shiray Kaka, Olympic Gold medallist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Bronze medallist at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
You can also cheer on aspiring players at Titans Ruck and Rumble, a series of rugby tournaments for both boys and girls, from under 8s to under 18s. The tournament is open to the public and will be held over 3 days, 6 April to 8 April, at Home of Athletics.
As the ninth of 11 tournaments in the men’s HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2022/2023 season, the two-day sporting event will feature a star-studded line-up with amazing teams from around the globe. Watch some world class Rugby Sevens as Argentina, Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Fiji, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, Samoa, South Africa, Spain, Uruguay and the USA battle it out to emerge as the champions.
Don’t miss the opportunity to catch some of the world’s best rugby players, including Akuila Rokolisoa, Marcos Moneta, Terry Kennedy and Waisea Nacuqu in action. With a packed line-up of activities for the whole family over the two days, there’s something for everyone!

Kids aged 7 - 12 can get their groove on at the Roller Kids and Roller Disco Zones. With instructors present and gear available for use, newbies to pros are welcome to skate away!
Catch the Minions all day long at the beanbags zone, where Minions clips will run non-stop (and there might even be surprise appearances from those mischievous yellow fellows!)
Be one with the force and train to be Jedi (or Sith) with Singapore’s own Saber Authority. Get hands-on experience with various lightsaber fighting styles – and perhaps even a duel of the fates.
Feel like a surf between rugby matches? You can do just that at The Stingray®, the world’s first half-pipe surfing machine. If you’d prefer something more relaxing, then there’s the Lazy River at Splash-N-Surf, where kids can also have a splashing good time.
