HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens

Updated: Apr 9, 2023

New Zealand took home the title of champions at the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens 2023. During an electrifying weekend of spectacular rugby and ecstatic fun zones, the All Blacks Sevens reclaimed the Singapore title they once owned in 2005, with a thrilling 19 - 17 defeat of Argentina. Their undefeated winning streak this weekend also guaranteed their spot at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.

Over the past two days, close to 40,000 fans enjoyed the fun-filled air and vibrant energy of the Family Sevens that reverberated across the Singapore Sports Hub. Fans cheered their lungs out for their favourite teams, explored the plethora of family-friendly activities at the 100PLUS Promenade, and even jammed out to live performances at OCBC Square. Fans showcased their creativity through costumes with Teletubbies, giant bumblebees, human hot-dogs, Easter bunnies and many more strutting their stuff in the stands.

This will be an unforgettable Singapore Sevens for seven lucky ticket holders who can win The Ultimate Singapore Sevens Experience, where they get an exclusive invitation to meet all 16 team captains in person, an exclusive invitation to a fireside chat with Rugby Ambassadors and five invitations to the Rugby Ambassadors meet-and-greet session at this year's HSBC Singapore Rugbys Seven 2023 tournament.

Sixteen countries battled for precious points as they eye for a chance to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Everyone is going... "Will Fiji defend their crown? Will powerhouse New Zealand thunder for a win? Or will South Africa emerge victorious?" Amidst all the action, catch the legends including South Africa’s Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira, 2019 Rugby World Cup Winner along with Canada’s Nathan Hirayama, third all-time points-scorer on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. Joining them is New Zealand’s Shiray Kaka, Olympic Gold medallist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Bronze medallist at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
