The Eleventh Edition of Whisky Live Singapore is back on the 19th & 20th of November 2022 and South-East Asia’s most premium tasting show will be showcased at the Andaz Hotel, located in the heart of the city at 5 Fraser Street. Hosted annually by La Maison du Whisky (LMDW), the Eleventh Edition of this show marks the return of Whisky Live after a two-year hiatus during the pandemic. Rum Gallery Singapore’s first ever Rum Gallery will make an appearance at Whisky Live Singapore in a 200m2 area dedicated entirely to rum in all its forms,. - Singapore Fintech Festival 2022
The seventh edition of the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF), which concluded on 4 November 2022, attracted more than 62,000 participants from over 115 countries. This was the largest SFF gathering since the inaugural edition in 2016. SFF 2022 featured more than 850 speakers from private and public sectors who participated in plenary sessions, industry panels and roundtables. The SFF Exhibition saw more than 570 exhibitor booths, including 25 international country pavilions. Over 4,000 meetings were facilitated through the SFF’s business matching platform. More than 10,000 participants joined in other events that were held on the sidelines of the SFF – Innovation Lab Crawls, Capital Meets Policy Dialogue, Elevandi Insights Forum, SFF Global FinTech Awards, and industry partner-led events. Key highlights include: The inaugural invite-only Capital Meets Policy Dialogue brought together around 250 global and regional policymakers, regulators, venture capitalists, private equity and family offices to share perspectives on FinTech regulation and investment capital allocation. Around 3,000 participants attended the inaugural Founders Peak, which featured 10-minute TED-like talks from more than 50 founders. These talks gave participants a valuable opportunity to learn from the experiences of successful founders. The Elevandi Insights Forum convened 22 closed-door roundtables that were attended by close to 1,200 leaders from government, industry and civil society. Held in partnership with global partners [1] , the roundtables covered important areas such as cross-border payments, stablecoins development, open finance, sustainable finance, digital banking, Web3, and digital assets. These conversations will continue at the second edition of the Point Zero Forum, to be held from 26 to 28 June 2023 in Zurich, Switzerland. A new ESG FinTech Zone was introduced, showcasing technological solutions driving innovation and change in the region’s net zero effort. Over 3,000 visitors attended the talks at the ESG Ecosystem Stage, which presented key trends and developments at the intersection of ESG, technology and finance. Over 2,000 attendees engaged in knowledge talks and career guidance at the Talent Pavilion as well as Lunch & Learn sessions with industry luminaries. Another 2,100 participants took part in the Learning Journey around Digital Assets and Web3 and Sustainable Finance. A total of 39 awards were given to the winners of the Global FinTech Hackcelerator and the SFF Global FinTech Awards. FQX, norbloc and WeavInsight emerged as the winners of the Global Fintech Hackcelerator 2022 while another 36 companies and individuals were selected as winners under the theme “Embracing Digital, Charting the New Normal”. The winners were recognised for their innovative solutions that can help to accelerate the pace of digitalisation, innovation and sustainability in industries such as Web3 and Green Finance. 4. Over 60 industry announcements were made at SFF 2022, including international public-private collaborations, product launches and joint-research releases. - First wave of stellar entertainment line-up set to dazzle at the Formula 1 Singapore
23 May 2022, Singapore – The stage is set for a mega blockbuster race weekend, as event organiser Singapore GP Pte Ltd unveils the first wave of acts on what will be a stellar entertainment programme for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022. This first announcement of Padang Stage acts features Marshmello, Westlife and Green Day to top off the scintillating action as the F1 night race gets back on track at the Marina Bay Street Circuit this 30 September to 2 October for Singapore’s biggest party in three years. The final line-up will include more than 75 performances over the three-day event across eight stages in the Circuit Park, together with roaming performers as well as an array of displays and activities to enthral crowds. Marshmello (30 September) Grammy-nominated Marshmello's star continues to rise as the famously masked artist breaks boundaries across the industry. With chart-topping singles and collaborations with the likes of Juice WRLD, Halsey, Demi Lovato, Bastille, Kane Brown, Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers, and more, Marshmello has clocked almost a staggering 12 billion streams across Spotify alone. Green Day (2 October) Legendary American punk group Green Day, is set to rock the Padang Stage in Zone 4 on Sunday, 2 October. Made up of vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool, Green Day is one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, with more than 70 million records sold worldwide and over 10 billion streams including their breakout album Dookie which achieved diamond status. The five-time Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are widely credited with popularising and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock, catapulting a career-long run of #1 hit singles including American Idiot, Good Riddance (Time of Your Life), Wake Me Up When September Ends and more. Today, marks the first anniversary of the world’s first inaugural Dog Cruise. This unique event onboard a traditionally rigged tall ship, was the first time a luxury yacht allowed dogs onboard to not only dine with their pawrents; but to also have their own gourmet meals served at their table. “The experience has been enhanced over the last year to be more relaxed and adapt to the latest regulations. With up to 30 dogs on each sailing, our experienced crew and partners are taking Dog Cruise to a whole new level.” said Sylvia Lee, Partnership Manager of Dog Cruise. This was followed by a special surprise by BossiPaws, when they customised a cake for every dog, shaping them in their image. For the humans, the food was a delectable! Every single dish was noteworthy. We were especially impressed with the Crispy Duck Confit. Having spoken to frequent pawrents and guests, we realised the secret to the astounding consistency of the food; highly skilled culinary team and a full-fledged kitchen onboard the Royal Albatross. All in all, it was an excellent celebration and a well-deserved one for the team.
