  • Sensational turnout for the 14th edition of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix

17 September 2023, Singapore – The Marina Bay Street Circuit welcomed 264,108 fans to the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2023 over the race weekend. Despite the closure of the Bay Grandstand as part of the planned redevelopment of The Float at Marina Bay, which led to this year’s reduced attendance from 2022’s record capacity, six new grandstands as well as additional walkabout tickets were introduced to mitigate the loss of capacity, and these were all fully taken up due to very strong demand. This year’s turnout exceeds the previously announced anticipated attendance for 2023 of 250,000 over the three days. In the last two days, the home of Formula 1 night racing has seen stunning action on track capped by a thrilling Qualifying session in which Carlos Sainz claimed Ferrari’s seventh Singapore pole ahead of Mercedes driver George Russell and Sainz’s teammate Charles Leclerc. Singapore now holds its collective breath in anticipation of what could possibly be a sixth different race-winner tonight. Over the last two days, the Padang stage concerts headlined by Post Malone, Kings of Leon, as well as a line-up of artistes presented by 88rising including Jackson Wang, Niki, and Rich Brian have attracted tens of thousands of fans. Ticketholders can look forward to another amazing night of performances tonight with Robbie Williams and Groove Armada at the Zone 4 Padang stage, as well as the Kings of Leon and Madness at the Zone 1 Wharf Stage. In a sign of continuing strong demand into 2024, the Super Early Bird tickets for next year’s race have also sold out having gone on sale only 72 hours ago. For the next ticketing phase selected tickets will now be available at Early Bird prices from 26 September via the official website www.singaporegp.sg.

  • Unveiling the Thrills of the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix

In the heart of Southeast Asia, the lion city of Singapore roared to life once again as it played host to the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix. This electrifying event brings with it an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation that the city-state is renowned for. Let’s delve into the highlights, the drama, and the experiences that defined the 2023 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Grand Prix. The Marina Bay Street Circuit, known for its spectacular night racing, served as the backdrop for this year's event. Notably for 2023, there has been change to the design of the track. The section featuring the Floating Platform has been removed. Instead of flicking right to dive underneath the spectators at what was Turn 16, the cars will now continue straight for 380m before joining at what is now Turn 16, the old Turn 20 with the rest of the lap continuing on as normal. Thus, the new long stretch of straight road opens up many opportunities for overtaking. We witnessed many exciting overtakes happening over the weekend from the 3 different races; Formula 1, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia & Thailand Super Series. We congratulate Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) for clinching the top spot at this year's race. The race weekend has always been exciting, especially this year! Spectators saw crashes, spinouts and multiple deployments of the safety car. Lance Stroll crashed at the final turn of the circuit. This caused the first qualifying session to be red-flagged. There's never a dull moment once you pass through the gates into the circuit. Fans can be spotted keeping their eyes peeled to spot their favourite drivers. Gate 9 seems to be a favourite among fans, as many station themselves (and their cameras) in anticipation of seeing their favourite driver. Drivers tend to stay at the Ritz Carlton Singapore and the shortest route to the Paddock, would be via Gate 9. In it’s vicinity, there’s the Support Paddock where they house the cars racing for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and the Thailand Super Series. There were sessions when the public was allowed to head in to take a closer look at the cars. It was interesting watching the mechanics preparing the cars for the race. If you visited it post-race, it would dawn on you how much damage the car takes as it tore down the street circuit. The once shiny and pristine cars before the race, now reduced to having worn tyres, cracked bumpers and fenders. All this happening with just less than 40 minutes on track. For a better view of the track, and to take in the view of Singapore’s city skyline, we recommend for you to hop onto the Singapore Flyer. The trip inside each glass capsule takes about 30 minutes. We recommend that you take it when there is a race happening. When the capsule reaches the top, one can see the entire street circuit, and watch their favourite drivers navigate the corners and straights. Beyond the race itself, the Singapore Grand Prix offered a diverse range of entertainment options. Music concerts featuring international artists such as Jackson Wang, Post Malone, NIKI and more.. Roving acts such as stilt walkers and fire players kept guests entertained as they moved around the circuit. Singapore known for being a food paradise, didn’t disappoint with food stalls featuring both local and international cuisines, spread out at every corner of the street circuit. Between races there were many activities happening in Zone 4. In the Singapore Airlines tentage, you could find a photobooth with the pretty Singapore Airline Stewardess, driving simulators and physical reaction game machines. Nearby, there were even photo booths where you could take virtual photographs with your favourite F1 drivers! These offerings transformed the Grand Prix weekend into a huge extravaganza that catered to a wide range of tastes and interests. As seen, the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Grand Prix has proved to be a remarkable annual event for Singapore and to the Formula 1 calendar. It showcased the dazzling beauty of night racing, the relentless pursuit of victory by the world's top drivers, and the vibrant culture of Singapore. With its unique atmosphere, unpredictable racing, and commitment to leaving guests fully satisfied, the Singapore Grand Prix solidified its place as one of the most exciting and memorable events in the world of motorsport. As the city-state bids farewell to another successful race, fans around the globe eagerly await the next edition of this spectacular event. *As of the time of writing, SuperEarly Bird tickets for 2024 have already been sold out!

  • Four Pillars Gin - Yarra Valley, Australia

MODERN AUSTRALIAN MAKERS CREATING THE WORLD’S MOST DELICIOUS AND AWARDED RANGE OF CRAFT GINS. THE ORIGIN It all started back in 2013 with three mates and one extraordinary copper still. Six years later, in 2019, Four Pillars Gin was named the world’s leading gin producer by the IWSC in London. They won again in 2020, making Australia’s favourite gin officially the world’s best. In 2022 they became Australia’s first certified carbon neutral gin distillery, and later in the year their sustainability efforts were recognised on a global scale with the IWSC awarding them the inaugural Green Spirits Initiative trophy. Four Pillars Gin make their famous gin in Australia; the most delicious, diverse and creative place on earth. And that’s why they get to combine intense creativity around gin with a huge passion for hospitality and gin-fuelled fun. We visited the place at the end of the road leading from the main drag from the Healesville quaint town, on Lilydale Road, and saw tourists, both domestic and international, awaiting to sample and to tour this renowned gin entity. THE VISIT AND GIN TASTING TOUR We sampled and tasted the original Four Pillars Gin; truly a classic but delicious gin with great citrus, lemon-driven and spicey; feeling the gap with a mouthful of whole, fresh oranges is what is being used in this gin which is marvelous and Australian citrus is highly aromatic, which is what we like and it truly lends to the structure of spicier botanicals like cardamom, cinnamon and star anise to the overall flavour and tone; we were told that the Tasmanian pepperberry leaf is being added to give it a feeling of warmth and the lemon myrtle added dimensions of complexity to the overall taste. The Bloody Shiraz Gin, we next sampled, had notes of juniper, raspberries, and heady spices. It was spice-driven, characteristics and hints of berries started to flow through, along with a bitter and minty expression of rosemary and beetroot. So when Gin was first combined with Yarra Valley grapes, the outcome was brilliant, and the crazy experiment using their original Rare Dry Gin steeped with local cool climate Shiraz grapes has become a cult-favourite, the perfect balance of sweet fruit and ginny goodness. They took this to another level by combining it and bottling it in a limited-edition design by Australian artist, Luke Lucas, so the enjoyment lasts.. one that you can treasure and re-use long after the purple gin is gone.... so from its dark purple colour to its natural grape sweetness, it’s the perfect balance of citrus, spice, sweet fruit and ginny goodness; just simply brilliant! DISTILLING PROCESS The process of making great gin is an art, to maximise both purity of spirit and concentration of flavour. To begin, they get their base grain spirit from Bomaderry on the south coast of New South Wales in Australia, which sources wheat from around 6,000 farmers across the state. Wheat creates an incredibly clean spirit and Australia has a global reputation for high-quality produce and production. The grain spirit is diluted to around 30% ABV and 450 litres are pumped into the belly of the still known as the ‘pot’. They then add their dry botanicals directly into the pot with the base spirit, around ten different dry seeds, leaves and roots. THE BOTANICALS Four Pillars use an entire plethora of botanicals sourced from cities and regions all across the globe, and that sets them apart from the competition; they do it better. Orange and Dried Apple from Australia, Juniper from Macedonia, Macadamia Nut, Lemon Myrtle and Ginger from Queensland, Coriander from South Australia, Pepperbery from Tasmania, Angelica from Netherlands, Green Cardamon from Guatemala, Star Anise from Vietnam, Cassia from Sri Lanka, Lavender from Yarra Valley, Red and Green Sichuan from China, Cubeb from Indonesia, Turmeric from Nepal, Grapefruit from Victoria, Grains of Paradise from Ghana, Finger Limes from NSW North Coast, Quandong from Western Australia, Sencha Genmaicha from Japan, Yuzu from Ovens Valley - these are some of the powerful flavours flowing into their Gin enterprise! DISTILLERY TOUR From Monday to Thursday, visitors can join them for a guided tour of their Healesville Distillery where one of their team members will take you behind the portholes to show you their gin stills, their botanicals and their solera of barrels doing the important job of ageing gins. Then it's down to their bottling line, their bar and everything in between. When the tour is over, it's time for a Gin&Tonic paddle (RRP $15) in Beth's Bar or Jude's Gin Garden. And on your way out you can grab your favourite 700mL bottle of gin from their Gin Shop for $10 off. LOCATION Four Pillars Distillery 2 Lilydale Rd Healesville, VIC 3777 CONTACT Phone: 1800 374 446 (1800 FPG GIN) Email: info@fourpillarsgin.com.au OPENING HOURS Sun - Thu: 10.30am - 5.30pm (last drinks 5:15pm) Fri - Sat: 10.30am - 9pm (last drinks 8:45pm) @visitmelbourne #visitmelbourne @rosettemedia #rosettemedia

Zoos Victoria is made up of four unique properties Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Kyabram Fauna Park, as well as a wildlife conservation team that works outside our zoo walls. Zoos Victoria is committed to fighting the extinction of 27 local threatened species, many of which can been seen at Healesville Sanctuary. Tasmanian Devils Helmeted Honeyeaters Orange-bellied Parrots Swift Parrots Mountain Pygmy-possums Spotted-Tree Frogs Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby As we walked though the entire zoo, we witnessed for ourselves, how the facility was being designed and constructed to allow for the landscape, water flow, treescape, free passage of mammals and birds in the wild, how they synergized with schools on their education and youth programs, how they fight extinction in their programs, become a voice for wildlife, looking after animals in their care, conduct welfare reviews, connect community with nature, empower and support community wildlife response, to make the zoo business, a thriving and ethical one! This is absolutely one of the highlights of the trip, and going beyond seeing the animals, but understanding how they are being cared for and looked after, and how the community can play a part in their lives! A highlight of a visit to Healesville Sanctuary is the Spirits of the Sky bird presentation. It is a fantastic way to be educated on a variety of native birds while appreciating their natural beauty. They also have a large wildlife hospital known as the Australian Wildlife Health Centre. Unfortunately, the hospital is not currently accessible as it undergoes renovations. However, future visitors will have the opportunity to see what is going on within the hospital via internal glass walls. • ‘Now is not the time"

:A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND EXHIBITION CELEBRATING LEE KUAN YEW’S LIFE AND LEGACY ON HIS 100th BIRTHDAY Organised and produced by virtual production and animation house X3D Studio, the immersive art exhibition celebrates the life and legacy of Singapore’s visionary founding father on the centenary of his birth. This unique and immersive experience – featuring virtual production, Artificial Intelligence (AI), generative art, architecture, sculpture, film, and music – brings together a remarkable pool of top global talent, including the American artist Daniel Arsham, design studio Brewin Design Office, production house Refinery Media, award-winning composer Tay Chee Wei, and institutions such as LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE) and Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP). The exhibit will be held at 25 Pasir Panjang Road, from 10th to 24th September 2023, from 11 am to 8 pm every day. It is open to the public and entrance is free. Website is live: https://www.nowisnotthetime.sg/ On 16 September, the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore’s beloved first and longest-serving prime minister, would have turned 100. Widely acknowledged as the architect of modern Singapore, Mr Lee led the island nation’s dramatic transformation from a developing country to a global economic powerhouse in less than five decades. “When it came to pursuing his vision for Singapore, his energy was unparalleled. He was just relentless,” says Karen Seah, founder of X3D Studio. “Singapore truly owes our current successes to Lee Kuan Yew’s steadfast vision, values, sacrifice, and love in building our nation. This exhibition is our way of honouring him and his constant quest for excellence and progress.” Now Is Not the Time is an immersive experience that chronicles Mr Lee’s life and celebrates his legacy – as a national leader and global inspiration, as an advocate of multiculturalism and a champion of technology and innovation – through the magic of virtual production, AI, generative art, architecture, sculpture, film, and music. “We’ve merged the powers of art, technology, and storytelling to create an exhibition we hope resonates with different generations and across borders,” adds Ms Seah. “It’s also our way of connecting Singapore’s younger generation with the past so that they fully appreciate what it took to build this safe and prosperous country. None of it was easy and there are many lessons to take from history.” The exhibition’s title, Now Is Not the Time, speaks to one of those lessons. “We’ve come a long way, yes, but now is not the time to rest on our laurels,” says Ms Seah. “Instead, we must continue to head into the future with passion and embrace the boundless opportunities in creativity and innovation.” Among the exhibition’s highlights is the work of New York-based contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, who created a series of art pieces – including a full-body sculpture of Mr Lee in a pivotal moment in history, right when he declared Singapore’s separation from Malaysia – for the immersive art collaboration. It is the first time Mr Arsham, whose previous collaborations include work for global brands such as Dior, has made a sculpture of a global leader. "I’ve been intrigued by Singapore since my first visit over 10 years ago,” says Mr Arsham. “The futuristic nature of the city is incredibly inspiring to me and I'm truly humbled to be part of the of the celebrations marking Mr Lee’s 100th birthday. I hope that the sculptures I have made in his honour will inspire a new generation and help them to understand and appreciate the importance of his legacy as a revered global leader.” The exhibition also showcases Singapore’s creative talent through works by students from LASALLE College of the Arts Film School and NYP School of Design and Media; the architectural firm Brewin Design Office; and production company Refinery Media. It also features original music by the award-winning composer Tay Chee Wei, who had composed music for EMMY-nominated documentaries such as NOVA's Ultimate Space Telescope and Decoding the Weather Machine. This monumental exhibition is made possible by the support of Singapore’s eminent organisations, including Founding Partners such as DBS Bank & Pontiac Land Group; and Partners such as Allen & Gledhill, Ho Bee Land, Kuok Group, Mapletree Investments, PSA International, RB Capital, SATS and Woh Hup. Said DBS CEO Piyush Gupta: “Lee Kuan Yew was extraordinary not only because he had exceptional foresight but also a strong sense of purpose. He lived and breathed Singapore – the success of Singapore and the future of its people were the singular lodestar of his actions. This enabled him to rally Singaporeans from all walks of life behind his bold vision of transforming Singapore from a fledgling port city to a global modern metropolis.” “With our world today facing rapid change and constant disruption, having a spirit of invention is more important than ever. That is why at DBS, we’ve been on a multi-year journey to embrace a culture of innovation and transform ourselves digitally. We are privileged to be involved with the “Now is Not The Time’ exhibition – our hope is that it will spark meaningful conversations and ideas on how, together, we can reimagine this city for the next bound.” “Pontiac Land Group is proud of our involvement with the ‘Now is Not The Time’ exhibition as we acknowledge art's transformative potential to inspire and educate. This meticulously curated exhibition offers valuable insights into Mr Lee's life, vision, and values, and we hope it will serve as a source of inspiration to the general public and especially the younger generation,” said Mr David Tsang, CEO, of Pontiac Land Group. ABOUT THE EXHIBITION: “NOW IS NOT THE TIME” Depicting a unique interplay between temporal perspectives, Now is Not the Time is an art exhibition that leverages the power of immersive technology to bridge the past, present, and future. It is a transformative, multi-sensorial experience that delves into Singapore's illustrious history, excavating the building blocks that have made the country what it is today. Through technology and artistic innovations, Now Is Not the Time spotlights the notable and formidable challenges that Singapore hurdled during the visionary stewardship of Mr Lee. Each part of the experience serves as a poignant reminder of the strategic decisions, indomitable courage, and unwavering foresight that constitute the bedrock of our nation's current culture and stature. • F1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2023 almost sold out

29 August 2023, Singapore – Demand for tickets to the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2023 continues to be very strong, with 16 out of 23 categories currently sold out. Of the remaining categories, five have very limited availability. Nearly all hospitality packages for the 14th edition of the night race have also been taken up. Only a limited number of seats remain at the Vista Suite and Pit Entry Lounge hospitality suites located opposite the pit entry at the Singapore Flyer. Based on current inventory, the Marina Bay Street Circuit is expected to host approximately 250,000 spectators this 15 to 17 September 2023. The reduced capacity – some 17% lower than last year’s record-breaking attendance of 302,000 – is due to the closure of the Bay Grandstand as part of the redevelopment of The Float at Marina Bay. “We were prepared that we would temporarily lose our biggest grandstand when we saw the redevelopment plans for the facility a few years ago and have been hard at work to actively identify potential sites for new viewing opportunities. We were always aware that we will not be able to completely replace the inventory, especially given the limitations of a street circuit,” said Adam Firth, Executive Director of Singapore GP Pte Ltd. “Fortunately, we were able to overcome the challenges and recoup 10,000 tickets with several exciting new options for our fans. We are delighted to have such a fantastic response to the six new grandstands introduced earlier this year, and look forward to build on this momentum for a fantastic race weekend this September.” With the event just weeks away, preparations for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2023 are on schedule. Visitors have plenty to look forward to, including a brand-new track layout and an exciting entertainment line-up of more than 40 artistes that includes Post Malone, Robbie Williams, Kings of Leon, Madness, Groove Armada and Culture Club.
