  • Birds of a Feather

Taking inspiration from Chengdu with its verdant landscapes and laid-back lifestyle, @birdsofafeathersg is a restaurant and bar presenting Contemporary Cuisine with Sichuan influences. As Chef Eugene took on the paces to prepare and explain each dish, we truly experienced a fresh perspective on East-and-West flavours, that is creatively layered in dishes which are prepared with refined culinary techniques. The dynamic and explosive flavors re-ignited our passion for fusioned-SiChuan flavours and the venue was totally packed on a Monday evening. The cocktails were super amazing and expressive and the flavours were spot-on; we loved the Osmanthus Tequila Sour: A refreshing blend of smooth tequila and fragrant Osmanthus flower, creating a unique East-West experience.. brilliant! aside from having a bevy of bubbly, a Chablis and a St Emilion. The Yu Xiang Eggplant comprising Japanese Eggplant, Soba, Julienne Veggies, Puffed Buckwheat was fantastic but everyone loved the Homestyle Braised Pork Belly which is Fragrant Mushroom Rice, Egg Confit, Shaved Black Truffle diced in yummy fatty pork (9/10 rating); the Loup De Mer was also our table favorite comprising a Spiced Whole European Seabass, Sichuan Chopped Chili Salsa, Asparagus, Ratte Potato, Kale, Black Trumpet, Vine Pepper Beurre Blanc, just exquisite. I personally liked the Spinach & Mushroom - a classic dish of Spinach, Pine Nuts, Smoked Bamboo Shoot Tea Tree Mushroom, Rye Croutons, Ferment Soy Bean Sabayon, amazingly good! Birds of a Feather’s bar is known for its vibrant and innovative atmosphere, offering a diverse and creative cocktail selection that complements the restaurant’s overall experience and to cap it all, attentive service from the crew. • Sanlorenzo SL96A

The sleek, dark windows have remained unchanged for exactly 60 years. There's no need to read the name: even from afar, a Sanlorenzo yacht is instantly recognizable at first sight. But there’s more to it. Once aboard, you can feel the atmosphere, appreciating the seamless design and sensing the meticulous attention to detail. It is the refined craftsmanship of a highly advanced object, an apparent contradiction that somehow coexists in a Sanlorenzo yacht. Nothing is left to chance: if Massimo Perotti, with his managerial skill, vision, and a touch of magic, has made all this possible today, it is due to Sanlorenzo's history, rooted in the shipbuilding tradition of Limite sull’Arno where the company was established in 1958, and the advancements made in the 1970s by the owner at the time. Those boats, so sought after by yachtsmen for their comfort, reliability, and custom quality, have evolved since 2005 to become modern while remaining true to their legacy of excellence. And they will continue to be contemporary, as is the case with truly timeless objects. To build yachts that are dependable and long-lasting, the key lies in the material and, most importantly, the skilled minds and hands that shape it. The craftsmen are crucial, representing the human capital Sanlorenzo has assembled at its production sites in Massa, Viareggio, and Ameglia, within the Montemarcello nature reserve. Here, the four ranges of Sanlorenzo yachts made from composite material (SL, SD, SX, and SP) are created in model facilities equipped with the most modern and eco-friendly production systems, thanks to artisans who pass their skills down through generations and apply them to each individual boat. The primary material for hulls, decks, and superstructures is a composite, a blend of fiberglass or carbon fiber with special resins. While the hull and deck are crafted with fiberglass, the superstructures use a composite based on carbon fiber, which is lighter and stronger, providing greater stability to the boat on the water for optimal on-board comfort. The structure of each yacht is formed from a mold made with the most advanced materials and technologies, ensuring a perfect balance between aesthetics and long-term durability. At the core of Sanlorenzo yacht production are two craftsmanship techniques: lamination, used for all hulls, involving the meticulous hand application of composite material in the mold, layer by layer, and infusion, a dry process that compacts the fibers with a vacuum method before resin is added; this process, applied to the superstructure and deck, significantly enhances performance. The skills of the people involved are the added value of a Sanlorenzo yacht: from the exceptional expertise of the staff to the dedication with which the craftsmen work on the interiors, finished with the same unique, tailor-made quality found in high fashion. A perfect blend of skill, experience, and passion. SL Fleet Sleek, sophisticated, and perfectly balanced: this describes the SL fleet, Sanlorenzo's planing yachts, which in 1985 marked the start of production in plain fiberglass at the shipyard. These boats cater to owners who view performance as their seafaring philosophy, navigating waves with utmost stability and safety, while ensuring a navigation quality that marries performance with comfort. The interiors of SL yachts are custom-made by Sanlorenzo artisans, focusing on design and superior finishing. The range consists of six models (SL78, SL86, SL90A, SL96A, SL106A, SL120A) with lengths from 24 to 37 meters. Each yacht, even the smallest, offers various interior layout options and can be fully personalized to match the owner's tastes and passions. SL 96a/724 Minimalist and unadorned, with furnishings and structural elements that are striking in their simplicity. This is the ambiance that fills the yacht, immediately evident upon entering the living area, featuring a ceiling of white lacquered planks, Thai walnut walls, and floors crafted from exquisite brushed Burma teak wood, complemented by a Saharan mat from the early 1900s. Geometric sofas, upholstered in shades of gray, and sleek cabinets in dark wood contrast with a rectangular Pietra d’Avola table, positioned along the side. Flanking the living area, two large panels by a contemporary artist enhance the space and hide the television set. The owner’s cabin is roomy and packed with functional features, from cabinets to bookshelves and a vanity-desk area, where Thai walnut is paired with matte black lacquer. The bed’s headboard also serves as a divider for the entrance to the recessed dressing room. In the bathroom, with a washbasin offering a stunning sea view, Pietra d’Avola is paired with smoked glass. Key Features On the starboard side, there is an unobstructed gangway that connects the aft cockpit to the bow living area. Along this path, the bulwark at the saloon opens to form a terrace, a feature first introduced by Sanlorenzo on the 40Alloy superyacht back in 2008. In contrast, the left side resembles a wide body hull, with a continuous side extending from the waterline to the flying bridge. The gangway, situated on the superstructure's roof, aligns with the flying bridge, allowing access to the dinette area and bow sundeck via a ladder. On the left side, at the dining area level, a section of the wall can be lowered electrically, enhancing the panoramic view. The innovative layout becomes apparent upon closer inspection: the SL96A's asymmetry is cleverly hidden in the design of the sides, which both display the same symbols. The high side walkways are masked and protected by a handrail found on both sides, defining and enclosing the sunbathing area on the superstructure's roof at the bow of the covered wheelhouse, a concept known as a Raised Pilot House. The two access routes to the bow, the higher one on the left and the lower one on the starboard, have been symmetrically arranged within the asymmetry. This is achieved through a play of light and shadow from the windows on the bow and the superstructure's roof, inviting observers to carefully discern volumes, passages, and movement. The concept of asymmetry emerged from the collaboration of various creative minds. It originated from an idea by Chris Bangle, the renowned car designer, and involved the yard’s internal technicians and designers, as well as Bernardo Zuccon, the young architect. Together with Zuccon International Project, they are undertaking numerous projects with Sanlorenzo. “Each project comes to life through the shared vision that synthesizes the designer's sensitivity with the client's desires. In this instance, the directive was clear: to continue the design process initiated with the SL102Asymmetric, aiming to preserve the styles and symbols of the first product while reworking them to give this new model its unique identity. We focused on the details and identifying a symbol that encourages the eye to notice the significant differences that make the product stand out within the range.” Bernardo Zuccon. The SL96 Asymmetric is a blend of ideas, spaces, and functions, a vessel of life that adapts to different dimensions and ergonomics by altering onboard flow. This offers new ways to utilize spaces in daily life without compromising the owner, while maintaining the symbols and stylistic elements that are integral to Sanlorenzo‘s brand identity. https://www.simpsonmarine.com/newyacht/sanlorenzo/sl96-asymmetric/

These values are central to vOilah!, a platform where artists, creatives, and audiences from both nations converge to explore and reinterpret shared traditions. As we celebrate this momentous milestone in our enduring relationship, we invite everyone to experience the festival's diverse activities, which embody the creativity, innovation, and deep-rooted connections between our two countries.” A Celebration of Cross-Cultural Collaborations in Visual, Performing and Cinematic Arts As part of the festival’s aim to create opportunities for Singaporeans to engage with the best of French culture with a local flair, vOilah! 2025 features a dynamic lineup of 20 programmes, with a strong emphasis on the arts—spanning visual, performing, and cinematic expressions. At a time when Singapore’s arts scene takes centre stage, the festival offers a unique platform for cultural exchanges, showcasing innovative collaborations between French and Singaporean artists, creatives and institutions. These programmes highlight the mutual influence of both cultures, fostering new artistic expressions and fresh perspectives. City of Others: Asian Artists in Paris, 1920s–1940s is the first major comparative exhibition dedicated to Asian artists in the French capital city during this pivotal period in modern art history. Held at the National Gallery Singapore, it challenges conventional art history narratives by focusing on the Asian artists' experiences in interwar Paris. The exhibition will feature over 200 artworks, and a further 200 archives and images, from both France and Singapore. It offers visitors a unique insight into how Asian artists inspired French art and how their time in Paris shaped their creative practices. Continuing the thread of showcasing cross-cultural experiences through the eyes of artists, the festival will be presenting two complementary art showcases that offer perspectives of French and Singaporeans living in each other’s country. Two Rivers by Singaporean photographer Melisa Teo presents a poetic visual dialogue between the two rivers that have shaped her life—Paris’ Seine and the Singapore River—while highlighting the duality of past and future, memory and dreams, and the interconnectedness of our existence. The exhibition debuts along the iconic Anderson Bridge, marking the first time that an exhibition is presented there, before moving to VivoCity Waterfront Promenade in June 2025. On the other end of the spectrum, Singapore-based French visual designer and photographer Nicolas Damiens captures prominent local Chinese landmarks and other buildings in Singapore in his exhibition CITY SingaPOP. The ongoing photo series uses vivid colours and striking compositions to capture the country’s perpetual summer. Co-presented with and held at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, this photo exhibition will tell of Nicolas’ perspective and his experience living in Singapore. vOilah! 2025 also features Wifredo Lam: Outside In, the first major solo presentation of Lam’s work in Singapore before a first retrospective exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art in New York at the end of the year. The festival’s celebration of cross-cultural artistry extends beyond visual art into the realm of music and performance. A French Kiss in Singapore by Sing'theatre is an exciting musical revue paying tribute to the music of the most celebrated French singers. Local performers Hossan Leong, Andrew Marko, Dwayne Lau, Amin Alifin, and Rino Junior John will bring the audience to their feet as they perform their English renditions of popular French songs, such as ‘Le Moribond’ (Seasons in the Sun) by Jacques Brel and ‘La Mer’ (Somewhere Beyond the Sea) by Charles Trenet. In celebration of its 35th anniversary, Singapore Lyric Opera stages a reimagined Carmen by Georges Bizet, featuring three acclaimed French opera singers. Set against the backdrop of Singapore’s golden era, this fresh take on Bizet’s 150-year-old masterpiece explores themes of love, passion, and fate. Meanwhile, Médée brings together Singapore’s Red Dot Baroque and Burgundy-based Les Epopées in a striking collaboration with The Opera People, breathing new life into Charpentier’s opera. Continuing this music journey, Les Arts in Nature at Gardens by the Bay transports festival-goers to 17th- and 18th-century France in a spectacular fusion of nature and classical music. This free, family-friendly event invites audiences of all ages to enjoy the enchanting melodies of French Baroque ensemble Les Épopées, performing works by renowned French composers Marais, Couperin, and Charpentier amidst the lush greenery of one of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks. As a prelude to the French Film Festival, Les Arts in Nature at Gardens by the Bay also features a special screening of Autumn and the Black Jaguar by French filmmaker Gilles de Maistre. Publico - Piccoli Piatti We went over to Publico to enjoy their new selection of petit plates for lunch at their Ristorante and Garden on Level 1 of the hotel. Packed with flavor and compact in size, their weekday lunch concept is ideal for mixing, matching, and enjoying every bite. Our first dish was the Yellowtail Crudo - a celebration of Fresh Citrus Cured Hamachi, Shishito Peppers, Orange, Red Onions, Preserved Lemon Glaze, Perilla Oil. Then we had the Tuna & Canellini Bean Salad, which was splendid and comprised of Ahi Tuna, Shaved Fennel, Organic Greens, Cherry Tomatoes, Sliced Olives, Pickled Onions, Parmigiano, Yogurt Balsamic Dressing. The third dish was the familiar Bruschetta Burrata, bursting with the right flavors of Pugliese Burrata, Marinated Heirloom Tomatoes, Fresh Basil, Year-Aged Balsamic and we went on to the Focaccia Hand-Cut Pappardelle Pesto consisting of Herb Pesto, Pinenut Crumble, Parmigiano. Our 5th course, which was just so tasty was the Florentina Pizza - Smoked Burrata, Creamed Spinach & Friareli, Anchovies, Baked Egg. We went on to the DOLCE section of their menu, which is essentially handmade using premium fresh ingredients, so we sampled the Affogato, a combination of Espresso Ganache, Vanilla Tart Shell, Cornflake Crumble, Kahlua Reduction, Vanilla Gelato, just brilliant and for the wine, we had a Chardonnay from Tuscany Italy - Il Borro Le Lamelle IGT '23, a perfect combination! Truly a hallmark of distinction to do small petit dishes which is very different from what they typically serve as large main courses in Italy, but the whole idea is to have a smaller sampling version so there is a greater opportunity to try more dishes with more punch and flavours! a Great idea on the part of the culinary team! CODA We had the opportunity to savour stunning cocktails that highlight Asian spirits at the brand-new hidden-cocktail venue CODA while grooving to melodic house. Our hosts were Treyna & Bern and they truly took very good care of us, and their thematic origins for their cocktail bar concept is based on mood inspirations. The atmosphere was light-hearted, the design minimalist-quiet-calm and the colours enticing and soothing, which makes me wanna stay for a long time and try MORE cocktails. We examined their menu throughly and went through the various concepts of Blue hour, which is the golden moment of One hour before sunrise and one hour after sunse and tried the Momo, simply tasty! On the Elysian fields, which is lifted from Greek mythology, it all about being in a State of being. On the chapter of Fragmented Consciousness, it's all about getting excited and getting all ready; and for the Chasing Fireflies segment, it's driven around the nuances of Happiness and Joyfulnes, so we tried the Fling, super cool bouquet and it will just simply grow on you as a cocktail delight! We also tried the Mandarin, and this was my favourite, contextually marvellous, super refreshing and I like the way how a mini orange peel is entrenched on top of an ice cube and iI saw how Bernard does it.. just like a kung fu movie! • Keijo | Carlton Hotel Singapore

Introduction Keijo is a reimagined sushi omakase experience in Singapore, built upon the heritage of its Michelin-starred predecessor (Shinji @ Carlton Hotel Singapore). Rooted in the traditions of Edomae sushi, they honor their past while embracing a new chapter - a moment where time-honored techniques meet thoughtful innovation through the fine art of Japanese culinary showcase. From the moment we walked though the entrance, we were ushered into the main dining area' there are also 2 private rooms and another sushi room, making this one of the most comfortable venues for premium Japanese omakases and refined Japanese food in Singapore! With an unwavering dedication to the finest ingredients and masterful craftsmanship, Keijo offers an intimate dining journey that fosters a deep connection between guests, the chef, and the art of sushi. Amidst beautifully refined interiors and a warm, welcoming ambience, the double-tag team of the chef and server delivered an aura of superior hospitality and culinary care where we were taken on an experiential culinary journey, diced with tradition at its finest, where every moment is crafted to be unforgettable. On this occasion, Joni Ong welcomed us all with open arms and her hospitality origins is highlighted when she shared the passion of her various Japanese concepts helmed by various Lead Chefs in her modest group over the past decade. History and Tradition Since 2010, Shinji by Kanesaka has been a pioneer of authentic omakase dining in Singapore, starting at Raffles Hotel before expanding to The St. Regis Singapore and later Carlton Hotel. In April 2025, they consolidated operations at Shinji @ The St. Regis Singapore, where they remain committed to delivering the same award-winning dining experience. The Carlton space has been converted to the name of Keijo , a similar concept under their parent company, with many of the original dedicated team and staff members, and this is where we had our lovely meal this evening! Chef Naoya Nakamura Born in a small town in Fukuoka, Head Chef Naoya Nakamura once aspired to be a Miyadaiku - a master carpenter preserving Japan’s cultural heritage through shrine and temple craftsmanship. As demand for such artisans waned, he found a new calling - one that still honored tradition but in a different form albeit a unique style in Japanese Cuisine. Drawn to the vibrant energy of hospitality, Chef Nakamura discovered his passion for creating meaningful dining experiences. At Keijo, he goes beyond serving exquisite omakase; he curates an atmosphere where guests can unwind, connect, and immerse themselves in the beauty of Japanese cuisine. With every dish, Chef Nakamura blends heritage with heartfelt hospitality, ensuring each guest feels welcomed, celebrated, and truly at ease. Chef Andrew Lin An adept chef on it's own right, Chef Andrew was truly a strong supporting chef to Chef Naoya, in delivering all aspects of the Japanese cuisine we had this evening, with his wondrous stories and encapsulation in local dialects, to spice up the already amazing evening as we dined in fun and laughter. He comes across as being absolutely attentive, as he watches my dining nuances and ensured that my experience was elevated within the domain of this lovely venue. The Concept A strong testament to the menu creation is based on the profound devotion to the poetic craft of gastronomic storytelling in the creation of this Japanese restaurant and its lineage with the concept of RICE and it truly showcases the essence of Chef Naoya's remarkable culinary vision and iconic position as the culinary master in this restaurant, that draws it past strength from the former Shinji restaurant, as it aligns beautifully with it's enduring legacy of inspiring and connecting people through premium delights showcasing Tsumami and Nigiri dishes, that is offered with a joyful culinary narrative, and the presence of a cypress wood door at the entrance (taken from it's former venue), drawing a deep connection in celebrating success and tradition. The menu is named after the way rice is measured, simple yet expressive, and the logo (nicely framed from a Chinese-Japanese design) is borrowed from it's inept ability to showcase the essence of continuity, of ingenuity and the holistic depiction of the word RICE and it's strong lineage with Japanese cuisine and the concept at Keijo. The Menu Powerful flavours are re-ignited throughout the breadth of this explosive menu, simple yet elegant and filled with premium taste and absorbing umami at the right tier. We tasted the Ikkoku which comprised of a full set of 10 Tsumami, 10 Nigiri, Soup, Dessert and along with that we had Delamotte Champagne as well as the Nikoku : a modest Sake Flight of 3, just exquisite! Aside from the amazing freshness, best sampled when you try the sardines (because sardine come with a strong bouquet, but the one at Keijo, displays true freshness and retains the original and juiciness of the dish); each Nigiri showcases the texture of the fish, along with colour, taste and right amount of umami, without the need for any premium soya sauce, and with the right punch of wasabi - demure yet delectable! The Tsumami demonstrates the singular passion delivered in flavourful context as both Chefs attempt to win us over with a slew of different preparation techniques, a testament indeed of their many years of cuisine operations. I like the fact that every dish is delivered in a premium format but yet the sum of all parts is a satisfyingly full so it doesn’t seem a lot but yet it’s show it's value and immensely powerful. For the appetizers, we had the Urui hotate / Shira-ae (or Mountain vegetable scallops and tofu sauce), the Hotaruika / yoshino su (the Firefly squid with cucumber vinegar sauce - I love the squid), and also the Ankimo / umani ( Monk fish liver with sweet soy sauce) When we started on the Sushi items, we had the Kisu ( Japanese whiting, I love this texture), the Tai or Sea bream, the Shima aji or Striped jack (one of my fave sushi), the Aori ika ( Squid) and also the Uni Shiroebi caviar ( Uni white shrimp caviar). Then we had the Sakuramasu ( Ocean trout), the Uni ( Otoro) - everyone oohed in delight when this was showcased, and also the Tuna belly ( Katsuo with shintama dressing) On the Sashimi front, we had the awesome Chutoro - Akagai - Hirame ( Medium fatty tuna - Ark shell - Flounder, so perfect. The Awabi / yawarakani ( Slow cooked Abalone was prepared in unison with the Shin gobo / Surinagashi ( Young burdock soup) just marvellous! We also tried a variety of dishes including the Katsuo/shintama dressing ( Bonito fish young onion dressing) and Kani / misonase gratin ( Snow crab); the Snow crab was so tasty and so good, and my favourite dish - just tender, nicely toasted, crust nicely delivered right at the end of the bite. We then tasted the Aji or Horse mackerel, the Nodoguro or Sea parch and the Tachiuo don ( Belt fish) - I like this! We had a Sakura osuimono ( Sakura clear soup) to clear our taste buds before embarking on the dessert which was a Melon - ichigo - Sakuramochi monaka combination comprising of Melon - Strawberry - Sakura sticky rice redbean; truly, a very delicious Japanese Melon, along with a lasting bite, delicate and well mélange with the red bean elixir. Rosette Media Panel Rating : 9.5/10 (Highly Recommended) We were so full from the meal, truly very well take care of, in all aspects, the staff were thoroughly attentive, cordial, friendly and showcased what we term as service-friendly! From their ultramodern design to their cutting-edge technology, the Group’s yachts are the pinnacle of Italian made innovation and craftsmanship. Against the idyllic backdrop of ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, this year’s event promises to be an unprecedented showcase for style and refinement. The Group is attending this prestigious event in collaboration with its long-standing local partner, Hong Seh Yachting, and showing three magnificent yachts at stand DB13 — including an eagerly awaited APAC premiere: • Wallywhy150 • Rivamare • Ferretti Yachts 780 WALLY WHY 150 The Wallywhy150 was created by the experienced Wally-Ferretti Group Engineering team, with Studio Vallicelli Design responsible for her exceptional interior design. Offering unparalleled exterior spaces on a 78-foot yacht was at the heart of the concept behind the wallywhy150, which sports a raised pilothouse design.   Wally’s goal was to anticipate market demands developing a yacht capable, once again, of being ahead of its time, starting from those innovative features that made the wallywhy200 successful. With its 24-meter length and 150 GT, the Wallywhy150 is a flexible yacht, ideal for experienced owners who fully understand and appreciate the skillful use of space, the considerable living areas and its unmistakable personality. For 30 years Wally has been designing and building cutting-edge yachts, which have led to epochal changes in yacht design. The exterior areas of the Wallywhy150 are unmatched for her size: the upper deck is completely open, giving an enormous amount of protected space on top. On board owner and guests can enjoy a full dining setting on the sundeck, a sunbathing area, a shaded lounge and much more – almost the full length of the boat is outside. Another important detail of the Wallywhy150 is the floor-to-ceiling glass which dominates the design of the vessel.   The APAC version of the Wallywhy150 features a dinning room located forward on the main deck, which showcases 270-degree panoramic views with a wooden round table for eight, and a stunning, grand “amphitheatre of the sea” design, thanks to her unusually high bow. Accommodation on board the Wallywhy150 includes, on the lower deck, which can either be configured in 1 VIP cabin + 1 double and 1 twin guest cabin layout or in a 2-VIP cabin layout, with all of the staterooms benefitting from the illuminating effects of their huge windows which create an airy and modern feel on board. It is the simplicity and accessibility of the layout which makes it so appealing to a huge range of clients – it offers the ultimate flexible platform for those looking to expand the horizon of traditional planing-craft usage. This is the first vessel with direct access to the sea at cockpit level with no stairs necessary – it is effectively a floating loft on the water. The  aft deck of the Wallywhy150 offers a large, unencumbered platform – including both a hydraulic multipurpose ladder and a rising platform. Owners are able to outfit this area as desired, with the capacity to bring all types of water toys on board, as w ell as a large 3,90-metre (12’8’’) tender. When powered by her optional three IPS1350 engines, the Wallywhy150 can reach a maximum speed of 23 knots, or 21 knots with the standard propulsion of three IPS1200 engines. Dolce & Gabbana is the designer of the Group’s uniforms and Seabob, a consolidated technological partner, will be presenting the latest developments in the world of water toys. In addition, Campari RARE will be bringing its unmistakable elegance to the Ferretti Group Owners’ Night on April 11 — an exclusive evening event for owners, prospects and VIP guests. At this glittering soirée, guests will be offered a carefully curated programme of entertainment, including signature cocktails, as well as the chance to go on-board wallywhy150 and see first-hand the revolutionary design and incredible interior volumes of this yacht.
