ILTM Asia Pacific 2025 : Wellness Tourism

ILTM hosts a series of exclusive, invitation-only events worldwide, connecting top international buyers with the finest luxury travel experiences. Each event presents a unique array of luxury travel brands to ILTM’s carefully curated network of luxury travel advisors through customized appointment programs and networking opportunities. In addition to the global flagship events held in Cannes and Asia Pacific, ILTM organizes three main local events: ILTM Arabia, ILTM Latin America, and ILTM North America.



ILTM Asia Pacific 2025 experienced a rise in participation, featuring more than 740 luxury travel buyers from 22 countries, thus representing a 12% increase year on year, with over 40,000 appointments, This year's showcase reflects a growing demand for the Asia Pacific luxury travel market.


A survey report with 450 affluent travelers, showcased at ILTM and compiled in collaboration with Hyatt and Altiant, delivered a set of interesting date analytics on the current focus on high-end luxury travellers. Throughout the Asia Pacific region, wealthy travelers are in search of more than simply a getaway. They desire meaningful experiences, balance, and activities that enrich both the body and mind. The concept of wellness travel is transforming into trips that combine physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional health.



There have been some distinct shifts in travel behaviour; we observed that wellness as a key decision factor ; More than half (55%) of respondents say that wellness facilities and services are very important or essential to their choice of hotel. For spontaneous wellness bookings where unplanned bookings are being made while on holiday, this is likely to remain important, with 65% of respondents having done so previously.



Week-long breaks: 4-8 nights is a sweet spot for wellness holidays as 72% of travelers list this as their ideal duration. Two-thirds (66%) of tourists say that travel agents are a key part of wellness holidays and would be influential in helping them to plan a wellness trip. For traditional wellness therapies, the likes of spas (58%) and physical treatments such as massages (51%) are likely to remain among the most popular options overall for luxury travelers.



In terms of a growing trend in wellness, the report shared that longevity and wellness are integrated into weekly routines with 77% of respondents now engaging in wellness activities daily and 84% focusing on improving their long-term health. For new types of wellness vacations, nature immersions (54%), health assessments (39%), and mental health support (32%) are three areas expected to grow in popularity. 65% of luxury consumers are interested in using technology and AI to enhance their health and achieve wellness objectives.
