  • Armenian Street Party 2026

This March 2026, Peranakan Museum and Armenian Street will be transformed by art, performances, culinary pop-ups, workshops, and mystery-themed experiences inspired by Mediacorp’s English drama “Aunty Lee’s Deadly Delights.” The Peranakan Museum showcases the cross-cultural art of Peranakan communities in Southeast Asia. Housed in the former Tao Nan School, established in 1912, it features one of the world’s premier public collections of Peranakan artifacts. The museum’s three floors delve into Peranakan life through themes of origins, home, and style as elements of identity. Visitors can enjoy community interviews, recorded demonstrations, art commissions, and other modern expressions of Peranakan culture, prompting them to ponder: “what is Peranakan?”. The museum is a department of ACM, under the National Heritage Board. The Peranakan Museum’s annual Armenian Street Party returns for its tenth year from 13 to 15 March 2026, transforming Armenian Street with performances, art installations, culinary pop-ups, workshops, and community programs celebrating the richness of Peranakan culture. This edition is presented in collaboration with the Peranakan Association Singapore, Gunong Sayang Association, Peranakan Indian (Chitty Melaka) Association of Singapore, and the Arab Network@Singapore. Clement Onn, Director of Asian Civilisations Museum and Peranakan Museum, stated, “Armenian Street Party invites everyone to enjoy the vibrancy of Peranakan culture through food, fashion, performance, and craft workshops. Together with our community partners, we are excited to welcome visitors to the museum to experience and celebrate Peranakan culture in innovative and meaningful ways.” Mixed media artist Dawn Koh’s 3.5 x 3 meter art installation Threads of Gathering , displayed in front of the Peranakan Museum facade, offers a living tapestry of art, heritage, and community. Inspired by the museum’s collection and the special exhibition Peacock Power: Beauty and Symbolism Across Cultures , the installation includes butterflies, peacocks, birds, and other motifs symbolizing transformation and connection. Visitors are encouraged to interact with and contribute to the installation. Under the direction of theatre veteran and Cultural Medallion recipient Alvin Tan, The Necessary Stage will debut a new work, Tapestry , reimagining three Peranakan stories for modern audiences. Other highlights include Hati Kampong Chorus , an expanded intergenerational community performance by the Peranakan Indian (Chitty Melaka) Association of Singapore, featuring local performers and migrant workers. In collaboration with Singapore’s national media network, Mediacorp, the festival immerses visitors in the world of the English drama Aunty Lee’s Deadly Delights through a mystery-themed experiential takeover of the museum’s Ixora Room, along with cast appearances and meet-and-greet sessions. Based on Ovidia Yu’s popular literary series, the drama follows Rosie “Aunty” Lee, a Peranakan restaurant owner and amateur detective, as she solves local mysteries. It is currently available on mewatch and Mediacorp Drama on YouTube and airs Monday to Thursday at 8.30pm on Channel 5! Cast members will participate in cooking demonstrations alongside Peranakan chef Nyonya Shirley Tay of Dapor Diva, and meet-and-greet sessions will feature stars Vernetta Lopez, Pierre Png, Norman Ishak, Alawdin Ali, Sheryl Ang, and Erika Maguicay. Food programs include Kueh & Kopi , a picnic experience featuring a box of kueh crafted by chefs from Allspice Institute, in collaboration with the Peranakan Association Singapore, Peranakan Indian (Chitty Melaka) Association of Singapore, and Arab Network@Singapore. Each set comes with a special drink by suns Living Room, along with exclusive merchandise from the Peranakan Museum. For the first time, the Armenian Street Party will also feature O’ My Darling, a food truck by Old Chang Kee offering a specially curated menu. Sweet Spot, a Peranakan dessert pop-up, presents sweets inspired by traditional Peranakan flavors. Words, games, and art Members of Baba Gabra, a community group focused on preserving the Baba Malay language, will spontaneously create personalized pantuns (poems in Baba Malay) with English translations for visitors. The museum is also reviving its popular Literary Showcase, featuring a curated collection of titles celebrating the written traditions and stories that continue to shape Peranakan identity, supported by the National Library Board. Various workshops inspired by the vibrant florals, fragrant herbs, and aromatic spices commonly used in Peranakan culture will also be available. Adventure seekers can participate in the Armenian Street Party Bingo Challenge to win tasty rewards, or join a game of Peranakan: Tiles & Tactics! hosted by Genie Games. Visitors can enhance their experience by trying on a Baba Nyonya Dress Up! photo opportunity. Armenian Street Party: A Peranakan Gathering runs from 13 to 15 March 2026. Admission to the festival is free, with some ticketed programs and activities requiring pre-registration. https://www.nhb.gov.sg/peranakanmuseum/whatson/programmes/a-peranakan-gathering

  • Singapore International Festival of Arts • SIFA 2026

As Singapore’s premier annual performing arts festival, the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA), organized by Arts House Group, showcases engaging and varied works across theatre, music, dance, film, and visual arts. Originating as the Singapore Festival of Arts in 1977, the Festival has evolved over the years, inspiring generations of art enthusiasts and practitioners. Today, the eagerly awaited Festival is a highlight of Singapore’s arts and cultural scene. SIFA remains committed to its mission of promoting the creation and presentation of both Singaporean and international works. From 15-30 May 2026, the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) transforms stages and public spaces into sites of play. Under the theme “Let’s Play!”, SIFA encourages audiences to explore, experiment, engage, and be inspired by the arts. From dawn soundscapes along the river to aerial performers suspended 25 feet in the air at Punggol, this year’s Festival invites audiences to rediscover the joy and significance of coming together through art. Organised by Arts House Group and commissioned by the National Arts Council (NAC), SIFA 2026 celebrates the Festival as a living, evolving archive, honoring heritage, nurturing local talent, and envisioning new possibilities for artistic expression. Celebrating 49 years of artistic excellence, SIFA 2026 – Let's Play! introduces an ambitious three-year curatorial arc led by Festival Director Chong Tze Chien. Titled Legacy (2026), Roots (2027), and Renaissance (2028), the trilogy traces Singapore’s performing arts landscape — honouring the past, examining the present, and imagining the future. A NEW THREE-YEAR VISION SIFA’s next chapter unfolds as a long-term artistic journey: ● SIFA 2026: Legacy The opening year pays tribute to the foundations of contemporary practice. Legacy asks: What do we inherit? And what do we choose to carry forward? Through works that address mortality, artistic lineage, and cultural memory, SIFA 2026 brings the past to life. ● SIFA 2027: Roots Marking SIFA’s 50th anniversary, Roots revisits the Festival’s beginnings, celebrates our pioneers, and sparks intergenerational dialogues within Singapore’s arts community. ● SIFA 2028: Renaissance Culminating in Renaissance, the Festival highlights hybrid forms, emerging voices, and bold experimentation where tradition and the future meet. "The evolution of SIFA and its impact on local performing arts and culture resonates over generations,” says Mr. Chong Tze Chien, Festival Director, SIFA. “We invite artists and audiences to reflect on the foundations that shape contemporary practice and our current standing. We encourage audiences to step out to engage and discover, and step into that dialogue: to be moved, surprised, and inspired. The Festival serves as a conduit for diverse audiences to feel the energy and possibilities of the arts, and to reap creatively and artistically through what the Festival is and what it can be." FIVE PROGRAMME PILLARS SIFA’s five programming pillars offer multiple pathways for audiences to experience the arts on their own terms: ● Festival Stage: Large-scale performances featuring local and international works. ● Festival Village: A hub of communal engagement, interactive installations, and outdoor performances, returning in 2026 with a vibrant, nostalgic festive spirit. ● Festival Play!Ground: Experiential and participatory works including a vibrant roving parade designed for families, young audiences, and first-time festivalgoers. ● Festival House: Immersive, family-friendly performances, workshops, and talks that deepen understanding and engagement with the arts. ● Festival Late Nites: Night-time programming that encourages playful and experimental encounters. Together, these pillars create a vibrant constellation of performances, installations, and encounters, extending across indoor and outdoor spaces, varying scales, and extended timeframes: from epic productions to immersive, participatory works. Free performances, public installations, and communal spaces will also capture the Festival's pulse from dusk to dawn, on the Festival grounds and beyond. “SIFA 2026 celebrates Singapore’s artistic heritage while embracing bold experimentation,” says Ms. Sharon Tan, Executive Director of Arts House Group. “Through immersive experiences, public engagement, and accessible programmes, we are committed to elevating SIFA as a festival deeply loved by locals and recognized internationally, bringing artists and audiences together to experience the transformative power of the arts.” KEY HIGHLIGHTS At the heart of SIFA 2026 is the long-awaited return of the Festival Village at the Empress Lawn extending to the Anderson Bridge — a free, open-access hub for gathering, encounters, and artistic play. 1. Return of the Festival Village Inspired by the festive spirit of the 1990s and early 2000s, the Festival Village is designed as a central strand of SIFA’s three-year arc, bringing together indoor and outdoor performances, interactive installations, parades, and participatory experiences that extend from late night into the early morning. It will feature works such as: ● Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming 《记忆游泳池》by The Theatre Practice - transforming the Village into a communal music and movement space rooted in intergenerational exchange. ● RUPTURE by The Observatory - a dawn sound installation drawing on seismic research, volcanic activity, and mythology. ● Makan Culture at the Festival Market - an interactive celebration of Singapore’s beloved dishes through puppetry, music, and theatre. Extending its immersive offerings, SIFA 2026 presents AUTOMATA, a late-night series curated by Hothouse (Singapore) as part of Festival Late Nites bringing filmmakers, programmers, movement artists, musicians, and machinists to explore ritual, repetition, and mechanical bodies through film, movement, and sound. 2. Diversity Futures: A Transnational Think Tank SIFA 2026 also launches Diversity Futures: A Transnational Creative Think Tank, a three-year initiative connecting emerging artists from The National Theater Company of Korea’s young directors programme, and Hong Kong Arts Festival’s No Limits platform, with their peers and counterparts from Singapore. Through residencies, labs, and collaborative experiments, Diversity Futures seeks to reimagine inclusive and sustainable creative practice across Asian contexts. 3. A Festival for All Building on the positive public response to last year’s SIFA Pavilion at Bedok Town Square, SIFA’s Festival Play!Ground at Nexus, Punggol Digital District extends SIFA’s commitment to community outreach by bringing large-scale and high-impact artistic experiences into the heartlands. Conceived as a platform for public engagement and shared encounters, this activation invites residents and visitors alike to experience festival works beyond traditional performance venues. Driving this outreach is Noli Timere (United States/Canada), a soaring aerial performance that unfolds across the Festival Village before arriving at Nexus, Punggol Digital District. The result of a five-year collaboration between Guggenheim Fellowship recipients Rebecca Lazier and Janet Echelman, the work features a specially designed, voluminous net sculpture animated by eight multidisciplinary performers. Comprising contemporary dance and avant-garde circus with public sculpture, social practice, and advanced engineering, Noli Timere marks its Asia premiere and transforms the urban landscape into a shared site of wonder. Choreographed to an original score by Quebecois composer JORANE, the performance presents aerial artists suspended up to 25 feet in the air, moving upon and within the sculptural form. Its presentation at Nexus underscores SIFA’s vision of Festival Play!Ground as a space where art meets community, expanding access and reimagining how performing arts can enliven everyday spaces. “NAC commissioned SIFA to be a festival that showcases our nation’s cultural identity and strengthens our connection with each other. SIFA’s line-up this year aims to transform our city into a living stage that makes the arts accessible while showcasing the creativity of our artists. Audiences have a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the local and international performances put together by SIFA,” adds Mrs. Elaine Ng, CEO of NAC. 4. From Singapore to the World: A Stage Without Borders SIFA 2026 brings together powerful artistic voices from Singapore and around the world, reflecting both innovation and heritage while nurturing cross-border collaboration. ● Lush Life (Singapore): Two of Singapore’s most distinctive and contrasting musical voices come together in a bold new collaboration, pairing the audiophile-grade jazz stylings of Jacintha Abisheganaden with the bohemian pop sensibility of Dick Lee. Directed by internationally acclaimed Singaporean director Ong Keng Sen, Lush Life unfolds as an intimate documentary performance, weaving together their lives, artistry, and enduring connections in a layered portrait of music, memory, and identity. ● Salesman之死 (Singapore): Written by Jeremy Tiang and directed by Danny Yeo, this play centers on Arthur Miller’s 1983 visit to Beijing to direct the first Chinese production of Death of a Salesman, a landmark staging that was brought to Singapore in 1986 by pioneer of Singapore theatre Kuo Pao Kun. Marking 40 years since that Singapore presentation in the Victoria Theatre, the new iteration, Salesman之死 unfolds as a multilingual tale of cultural confusion, impossible translation, and unexpected encounters amid the chaos of theatre making. ● YOU ARE (NOT) WHAT YOU EAT! (Singapore) by Yang Derong - a kaleidoscopic installation reflecting on Singapore’s food culture and plastic consumption. ● Strangely Familiar《熟悉的陌生》(Singapore): A transcultural dance production by T.H.E Dance Company, co-created in collaboration with artists and designers from the region, combines live performers and digital embodiments to explore how culture, digital identities, and everyday norms intertwine in contemporary lives. ● LACRIMA (France): French director, author, and filmmaker Caroline Guiela Nguyen’s epic drama explores the human and social worlds behind a fictional Parisian haute couture commission for a royal wedding. Moving between workshops, families, and continents, the work brings together professional actors and non-professional performers to examine labour, secrecy, and the emotional weight carried by those whose hands create objects of desire. ● Hedda Gabler (South Korea): A contemporary reimagining of Ibsen’s classic, starring one of the most prominent South Korean actresses in the 1980s Lee Hye-young as the iconic heroine, exploring desire, frustration, and societal constraints with striking theatrical precision. ● Hamlet (Peru): A group of people with Down syndrome take the stage to share their desires and frustrations through a reimagining of Hamlet. The play is built between Shakespeare’s text and the actors' lives, and it takes as its starting point the question he asks us about existence. To be or not to be? What does it mean to be for people who can’t find spaces where they are not considered? ● Tempo (Sweden/Brazil): An exploration of time’s elasticity through text, movement, and stage illusions, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary experiences where gravity, speed, and perception dissolve. ● Planet [wanderer] (France/Japan): Materialised as an intriguing result of a collaboration between choreographer Damien Jalet and scenographer Kohei Nawa, where they confront the bodies of the eight dancers with the materials and textures of the scenography to create a story of the visceral bond between people and planet. “By bringing in world-class performances directly into our communities, SIFA’s diverse programming enriches Singapore’s vibrancy while strengthening our position as a premier cultural hub. The Festival offers visitors an authentic taste of our cosmopolitan identity and reinforces Singapore’s appeal as a must-visit destination,” said Ms. Guo Teyi, Director, Leisure Events, Singapore Tourism Board. • Samsung Unveils Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy S26 Series, offering the most intuitive, proactive, and adaptive Galaxy AI experiences yet, aimed at simplifying daily phone tasks. From managing schedules and accessing information to creating and enhancing content, the Galaxy S26 reduces the effort and steps required to complete tasks. As Samsung’s third-generation AI Phones, the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra handle complex tasks in the background, allowing users to focus on results rather than the technology itself. The Galaxy S26 Series combines Samsung’s most advanced features into one package: exceptional performance, an intuitive camera system, and Galaxy AI. This foundation ensures Galaxy S26 users can depend on their phones throughout the day without compromising security or privacy. Utilizing Samsung's years of innovation in display technology, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will include a Privacy Display, introducing a new level of display experiences and reinforcing Samsung's commitment to privacy at a pixel level. The Galaxy S26 Ultra also features a customized chipset and improved thermal management for faster and more powerful AI, all within the sleekest Ultra design yet. These components make the Galaxy S26 Series the most powerful Galaxy experience to date. “We believe AI should be a reliable daily companion, designed to work consistently for everyone without requiring expertise,” said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer, President, and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “With the Galaxy S26 Series, we aimed to make AI feel effortless by designing it to complete tasks naturally, working quietly in the background so people can focus on what matters.” "In the region, we've observed widespread adoption of AI features, with 77 percent of all Galaxy users utilizing Galaxy AI. This is very encouraging – a clear indication that we are on the right path with our AI strategy, maintaining our leadership in the mobile AI era. The core of that strategy is the democratization of the technology, which we refer to as 'AI for All'. With this rallying cry, we aim to make Galaxy AI a daily reality for everyone, transforming it from a feature for the few to an essential tool for all in Singapore. The new Galaxy S26 Series will make that vision a reality," said Ronnie Ng, Vice President, Head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics Singapore. Powerful Performance Designed for Everyday Use Built for all-day performance, the Galaxy S26 Series is equipped with the most powerful hardware ever in a Galaxy S Series, powered by a customized chipset. The entire Galaxy S26 Series is designed for AI performance, power efficiency, and thermal management, ensuring demanding tasks run smoothly and consistently, so users can rely on their devices when it matters. On the Galaxy S26 Ultra, a customized mobile processor — Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy — delivers top-class performance with significant improvements across CPU, GPU, and NPU to support faster, smoother experiences that last throughout the day. A CPU performance increase of up to 19% means the Galaxy S26 Ultra responds more quickly and handles complex workloads intelligently, even with multiple tasks running simultaneously. A 39% improvement in NPU performance powers always-on Galaxy AI features that operate seamlessly, allowing users to switch between tasks without lag or interruption. A 24% boost in GPU performance provides richer visuals and more fluid gameplay. To maintain this level of performance, the Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces a redesigned Vapor Chamber with thermal interface material positioned along the processor's sides, allowing heat to spread more efficiently across a larger surface area. This enhances heat dissipation to keep the device cool and consistent, even during demanding activities like gaming, multitasking, and video capture. To support all-day use, the Galaxy S26 Ultra also features Super-Fast Charging 3.0, reducing downtime by reaching up to 75% charge in just 30 minutes. Embedded into the processor, Samsung’s proprietary technologies enhance visual performance. ProScaler improves image scaling so photos and videos appear richer and clearer at a glance by sharpening text and fine detail while smoothing textures. Additionally, Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) delivers more subtle and lifelike colors thanks to image processing with four times the precision compared to the previous generation. Collectively, these advancements provide reliable all-day performance, making every action feel effortless. Galaxy’s Industry-Leading Camera System The Galaxy S26 Series emphasizes intuitive interaction for creativity and productivity, delivered through the best Galaxy camera system to date. With an approach that integrates capturing stunning photos and videos, editing, and sharing into a single, seamless experience, creativity feels more natural and accessible even without professional tools or technical knowledge. On the Galaxy S26 Ultra, wider camera apertures allow more light to reach the sensor, delivering clearer photos with richer details in low-light conditions, even when zoomed in. Enhanced Nightography Video keeps footage clearer and more vibrant even in dim scenes, whether capturing concerts indoors or recording moments around a campfire after sunset. Video capture is further enhanced with upgraded Super Steady capabilities, which add a horizontal lock option for greater stability and make consistent framing easier to achieve, even during fast-paced activities. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is the first Galaxy device to support APV, a new professional video standard and codec designed to deliver efficient compression for high-quality production workflows. For creators who care about quality, this means visually lossless video quality that remains true even after repeated editing. The Most Intuitive Galaxy AI Experience Yet The Galaxy S26 Series is designed to make frequently used experiences feel straightforward and user-friendly, with Galaxy AI reducing the steps between intent and action. It works more proactively and seamlessly on the user’s behalf based on context, surfacing the right support at the right moment and automating tasks with minimal manual input. As the technology fades and handles tasks in the background, users can focus on the results. With Now Nudge, timely and relevant suggestions help users stay in the flow without being distracted. If a friend asks for photos from a recent trip, the Galaxy S26 automatically suggests photos from the Gallery, eliminating the need to search through albums or switch between apps. When receiving a message about a meeting, the Galaxy S26 can recognize related Calendar entries and check for conflicts. On the Galaxy S26 Series, Now Brief has become more proactive and personalized. It surfaces timely reminders for important events – from reservations to travel updates – based on personal context, helping users stay organized throughout the day. Searching for information is also easier than ever. Circle to Search with Google on the Galaxy S26 Series has been upgraded with enhanced multi-object recognition, so users can now explore more deeply on multiple parts of an image at once. If users spot a look they love, the feature also identifies everything from the jacket to the shoes, all in one search. The Galaxy S26 series features an upgraded Bixby as a conversational device agent, making it more intuitive and easier than ever to interact with Galaxy devices. Users can navigate their devices and adjust settings using natural language, without the need for exact terminology or commands. Alongside Bixby, the Galaxy S26 Series integrates a choice of agents, including Gemini and Perplexity. Once set up, tasks can be completed with a single button press or voice prompt. The Galaxy S26 can also handle multi-step tasks in the background, streamlining the process on the user’s behalf. For example, with Gemini, booking a taxi is as simple as asking, reviewing the details, and tapping confirm. These agents support tasks such as searching and carrying out complex tasks seamlessly across apps through natural interaction. Together, these proactive, personalized, and adaptive experiences lay the foundation for more agentic AI experiences – setting the stage for Galaxy devices to become trusted companions that understand and anticipate user needs. The victory was made even more special as it marked her first win with her husband on the bag. Green returned to the winner’s circle with a total score of 14-under-par 274. This marked the 29-year-old’s seventh LPGA victory and her second HSBC Women’s World Championship win, following her triumph at The Tanjong, Sentosa Golf Club in 2024. With this victory, the Perth native joins Jin Young Ko and Inbee Park as the third two-time winner of the HSBC Women’s World Championship. It is also her first LPGA Tour win with her husband, Jarryd Felton, as her caddie. “The past couple of weeks have been fantastic. My regular caddie is applying for a green card and couldn’t leave the U.S., so my husband stepped in unexpectedly for the season. Fortunately, he was able to help out,” Green said. “It was truly a team effort over the last two weeks, and it’s very special to share my seventh win, which is also my favorite number, with him,” added Green. American Auston Kim, who led the first two rounds, shot a 67 to finish second, while 11-time LPGA winner and three-time Major champion Minjee Lee, who began the final round tied for the lead with Green, ended with a 72 to finish tied third with France’s Pauline Roussin-Bouchard and Angel Yin of the United States. Green started the final round tied with compatriot Lee and quickly took the lead with an opening birdie, followed by an eagle-three on the eighth hole. After turning in 33, Green added birdies on the 11th and 13th holes, but a bogey on the 14th slowed her momentum. She quickly recovered with another birdie on the 15th. Despite dropping two shots on the 17th and 18th holes, it was enough to secure her second HSBC Women’s World Championship title since 2024 by one shot over Kim. “I was feeling nervous and told Jarryd a few times that I wasn’t comfortable. He reminded me to take a deep breath, have a snack, or sip some water. I haven’t played with this level of adrenaline in a long time, and we managed it well,” Green stated. In her third LPGA season, Kim continues to seek her first win but remains optimistic about the lessons learned this week. “There’s so much to learn in both golf and life, and every day on the course is a chance to improve,” she reflected. “Every moment competing is something I’m grateful for, and I gained a lot this week. I’m proud of that.” Lee also chose to focus on the positives for the upcoming season. “This sets up a nice start to the year. I can take more positives than negatives from this week,” Lee said. “My scrambling was strong, and the second round was excellent. I hope to build on this and make more birdies in the next tournament,” added Lee, who recorded rounds of 72, 64, 69, and 72. Singapore’s Chen Xingtong closed with a 71 to finish tied-60th, while Shannon Tan ended with a 75 to be placed tied-64th. “I didn’t showcase my best game, but I’m pleased to have improved from last year, where I finished last,” said the 17-year-old. The HSBC Women’s World Championship is held at The Tanjong Course, Sentosa Golf Club for the 13 th time. Sentosa continues to gain global recognition for its leadership in sustainable golf and championship venue status, with The Serapong recently being named Asia’s Best Golf Course and Singapore’s Best Golf Course at the 2025 World Golf Awards. • KOOZA • Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil's internationally renowned Big Top show, KOOZA, presented by Mast International, a dedicated Cirque du Soleil partner since 2007, alongside Lushington Entertainments, has officially launched in Singapore to an enthusiastic audience. At the core of the circus's origins lie two contrasting emotions: fear, which can leave us breathless, and wonder, which can bring us to tears. Spectators are drawn into this dynamic mix, recognizing on stage the elements that reflect their humanity with all its fascinating contradictions. It is from the meeting of these two worlds that magic emerges. We celebrate the return of one of their original creators, David Shiner, who with KOOZA takes us back to Cirque du Soleil's roots, capturing the profound madness of its early days. Embrace the illusion as they guide us through their provocative and bewildering universe, where appearances can be deceiving and laughter illuminates our path. David Shiner, the creator shares that "we all are thrust upon the shores of this life into a world both dazzling in its beauty and terrifying in its violence and cruelty. No other character in our collective storytelling understands this dilemma more than the clown. He wills us to laughter, to tears. He reminds us of our humanity and of the parts of ourselves that most sacred. He cajoles us into tenderness and paints our smiles in sweetness". and this is best portrayed through the clowns and the King at.. Kooza mania! "This show truly reflects the human heart and its wide open wonder!" and our favourite character is The Innocent - such intricacy!" • Rosette Media • As Serge Roy, the Creation Director proclaims :"Our show is a story whose subtext could be as follows: In the beginning, emotion must be born of simplicity in order for the extraordinary and the fantastic to emerge." - such a powerful narrative! The opening weekend attracted nearly full houses, kicking off an extended 2026 season, with the production running until March 29, 2026. Tickets are currently available on the Fever and Sistic websites, with tickets for the extended season available starting February 13, 2026. The show premiered on February 6, 2026, to a full house of 2,500 attendees, including invited guests, partners, and audiences eager to experience Cirque du Soleil’s unique mix of acrobatics and theatrical storytelling, setting the stage for an eagerly awaited season. The premiere evening featured a glamorous red carpet outside the Big Top, with performers from the show posing alongside other attendees. The lighting in KOOZA evokes a luminous, whimsical realm, crafting a fanciful ambiance that balances strength with fragility, laughter with chills, and chaos with harmony. The vibrant, pure colors infused with playfulness and fantasy highlight the comedic actors and acrobats as they shine in the spotlight. Throughout its run, KOOZA will also host 600 guests from charitable organizations like Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE Singapore) on upcoming weekends, allowing children and families from the community to enjoy the joy, imagination, and wonder of KOOZA. Sharing the magic of the circus with the broader community is a meaningful way to welcome the show back to Singapore after its long-anticipated return. Jamieson Lindenburg, Artistic Director of KOOZA, stated, “Singapore holds a special place in KOOZA’s journey. This city embraces imagination and celebrates bold creativity, aligning perfectly with the essence of the show. Returning after seven years to open our Big Top here, surrounded by such an engaged and diverse audience, is a powerful reminder of the magic that occurs when circus, storytelling, and community unite.” Yong Kim, Chief Executive Officer and President of Mast Entertainment SG, said, “The energy at the premiere was truly electric. Seeing the Big Top come alive once again in Singapore, filled with families, devoted fans, and newcomers, was a powerful reminder of why KOOZA continues to resonate with audiences worldwide. After an incredible journey across Asia, including Hong Kong, Seoul, and Busan, we are thrilled to see such a strong and enthusiastic response as we begin this exciting new chapter in Singapore. The audience reaction has been among the most impressive across the region, and we look forward to welcoming many more families and fans to experience this incredible show over the remaining seven weeks.” Adam Firth, Executive Director of Lushington Entertainments, said, “The positive audience reaction to the opening weekend is a testament to Singapore’s vibrant appreciation for live performance and the arts. It gives us great pleasure to add more shows and extend KOOZA’s run until March 29, 2026, allowing even more audiences to experience the magic under the Big Top. Beyond the stage, the Big Top experience also includes lively pre-show areas and concession stands offering fresh popcorn and classic treats, evoking nostalgia for adults while creating moments of excitement and discovery for children and families. Ms. Guo Teyi, Director, Leisure Events, Singapore Tourism Board, said, “KOOZA joins the many acclaimed international productions that continue to reinforce Singapore’s reputation as a premier destination for live entertainment. • Stags Head Steakhouse

Stags Head Steakhouse, a new premium venture from the creators of award-winning local establishments Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse and Artemis Grill, has launched at the five-star Pan Pacific Singapore in Marina Bay. This restaurant introduces a London-style flair to Singapore's steakhouse scene, combining live-fire cooking with the ambiance of a grand dining hall in the heart of the Marina Bay precinct. Situated on the third floor of Pan Pacific Singapore, Stags Head offers a modern twist on the London grill, inspired by the city's prestigious dining rooms. Designed by EDG Hospitality, the venue provides refined yet approachable dining, Mayfair-inspired cocktails, lovely snack bites and sophisticated private-event facilities for both business and social gatherings. There are no elite London-inspired steakhouses in Singapore, so it will truly plant a gourmet flag on to the Singapore F&B culinary scene. The concept draws heavily from the experience of Group Executive Chef Oliver Hyde, who grew up on the Norfolk Broads and honed his skills in the UK. "Stags Head Steakhouse is built around a very honest and steadfast promise - that every plate that leaves the pass has to respect the animal, the craft and the guest,” said Hyde. “We start with exceptional raw material, then use fire, time and restraint to bring out the character of each dish.” The menu centers on large-format sharing steaks such as tomahawks, porterhouses, and bone-in F1 Wagyu, which are meticulously sourced, butchered in-house, and available in both wet- and dry-aged variations. Selected cuts are dry-aged on-site to enhance flavor, then cooked over a mix of binchōtan charcoal and applewood for controlled heat and subtle smokiness, properly rested and served with simple accompaniments like a rich bone marrow jus to keep the focus on the beef, and with this, just simple indulgence and delight to savour all our senses!   In addition to steaks, the kitchen celebrates seafood and seasonal produce from the British Isles and beyond, evoking the atmosphere of a modern countryside estate dining hall. Robust grill-led plates are served alongside lighter, vegetable-forward and seafood dishes, all guided by a guest-led philosophy that emphasises freshness, balance on the plate, and generous but not heavy portions, and we noted this when we tasted their menu on our visit.   A highlight of the menu is The Roast , a modern take on the classic British Sunday roast available daily by pre-order. Featuring roasted chateaubriand for sharing in 400g or 800g portions, the dish is accompanied by beef-fat roasted potatoes, braised red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, Yorkshire pudding, and beef-dripping jus.   Meats and key ingredients are sourced globally with a focus on quality and origin. Beef and veal come directly from Australia, while other proteins and seafood are influenced by the British Isles and North Atlantic. Produce is sourced from regions known for excellence, including France and Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands, ensuring freshness, consistency and seasonality.   The Baked bone marrow was so juicy with an abundance of oxtail jam, herb leaf salad and grilled sourdough, and the fish finger sliders was simply delicious! The true highlight was the Dry-aged Bone-in Sirloin and the Porterhouse, which are part of the series of Stags Head Signature Cuts - 450 days Grain-Fed, F1 Wagyu, Tajima bloodline from Australia - Simply Immaculate - ( Rosette Media Rating at 9.2/10). We enjoyed the Apple & Blackberry Crumble, with cinnamon and oat crumb that just melts in your mouth, a Bakewell Tart that comes accomplished with Almond fragrance, cherry jam and yoghurt gelato, and a sticky toffee pudding filled with muscovado toffee sauce and clotted cream. Stags Head’s beverage program, developed over more than a year, includes wine, cocktails, and spirits with the same meticulous attention as the kitchen. The wine list features major global regions with a particular focus on the Commonwealth, including a curated selection of English wines, making Stags Head one of the few places in Singapore to explore this category seriously alongside steak. The Gusbourne English Sparking Wine was a winner; made in the méthode champenoise (traditional method), the Blanc de Blancs, was absolutely a fantastic pre-dinner aperitif!   The cocktail menu draws inspiration from the great bars of Mayfair, focusing on timeless classics executed with precision, alongside modern interpretations that remain elegant and inclusive. Drinks are layered, textural, and thoughtfully crafted to complement the dishes, designed around balance and length so they enhance the meal rather than compete with it.   The interiors reflect Neo-Victorian and Neo-Georgian architectural styles, combining classical British proportions and detailing with a modern sensibility. The generous ceiling heights are highlighted, while elements of theatre, such as a visible wine cellar and dry-aging cabinets, prescribe the restaurant’s focus on elegance, craft and provenance. The Mr Stag identity, developed with EDG’s branding team, serves as a cohesive visual anchor that captures the true essence of English neo-Victorian ambience. The layout is designed as a leisurely journey through a classic London steakhouse. Guests may start with a freshly made sparkling wine or cocktail in The Library Bar & Lounge before moving to the grand dining room, characterised by its 5.5-meter ceilings. Two private rooms, which can be combined to accommodate up to 48 guests, are designed to feel connected to the main space rather than isolated, and the private dining spaces add a spectacular feature to host private parties, dinners and corporate bonding experiences.   “For us, Stags Head Steakhouse is designed as a ‘second living room’ for our guests. It’s the place you book for a client you want to impress, but also the place you return to on a weeknight because the team knows your cut, your doneness and your drink,” said Wes Guild, Group Operations Director, Red Door Group.   “We have seen how deeply guests connect with a great steakhouse through the enduring success of Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse, which has enjoyed a loyal following for over a decade, and Stags Head is our opportunity to bring that level of devotion to a new, distinctly London-leaning expression of the genre.”   “As someone who has spent years in the steakhouse world, including my time at Morton’s, I know how high the bar is in Singapore,” said Seth Blagden, newly appointed General Manager, Stags Head Steakhouse. “The aim is to deliver the sense of occasion guests expect from a top-tier steakhouse, with service that is polished but relaxed enough that you want to stay, share and come back.”   Stags Head Steakhouse caters to a wide audience, including dedicated steak enthusiasts, guests seeking seafood or lighter options, hotel residents, and the group’s established local clientele. With its adaptable layout and experienced team, the restaurant is equally suited for everyday dining, celebrations, private events, and corporate entertaining, an area where the group has built a strong reputation over more than a decade, and we can truly testify to this competence in this domain, having attend numerous corporate events at their restaurants.
