  • Attack on Titan - The Exhibition

From Netflix, the Titan series is now brought to you LIVE at the ArtScience Museum, where visitors will be able to step into a world where humanity's existence is threatened by gigantic humanoids at Attack on Titan: The Exhibition, that opens on 19 February 2022. Based on the best-selling Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, the exhibition will draw visitors into his visionary imagination, introducing his intricate worldbuilding and vivid characters. Organised by SPACElogic, Attack on Titan: The Exhibition premiered in Southeast Asia at ArtScience Museum during the highly-anticipated release of The Final Season Part 2 of the anime adaptation on Netflix in February 2022. As viewers watch the culmination of the saga, visitors to ArtScience Museum will encounter Hajime Isayama’s master storytelling and artistic vision over the past decade. Featuring over 180 artworks by Hajime Isayama ranging from the manga's earliest days to the present, Attack on Titan: The Exhibition will also showcase new pieces that have not been displayed anywhere else in the world, alongside drafts and sketches from his archives. Visitors and fans alike will soon be able to step into Hajime Isayama's sprawling dystopia, which will include an immersive animated battle sequence set in The Great Titan Theatre as well as displays of Titans, characters, and objects from the manga. “ArtScience Museum is delighted to be working with SPACElogic and the Attack on Titan team in Japan to bring this cultural phenomenon to Singapore for the first time. With Attack on Titan: The Exhibition, our visitors will encounter the creative vision behind one of the world's most successful manga stories, seeing why the series has gained such international acclaim for its compelling characters, complex themes and technical artistry,” said Honor Harger, Vice President of Attractions, Marina Bay Sands. “Launching this exhibition as Attack on Titan's latest episodes reach our screens couldn't be more timely. At first glance, Hajime Isayama’s science fiction world may seem remote to the reality we live in now. However, if we dig deeper into Attack on Titan, themes like hope and perseverance emerge as common threads. We also witness the resilience and resourcefulness of the characters as they overcome the consequences of an epidemic in their own world. Stories such as Attack on Titan provide many of us with a sense of escapism, but they can also remind us of our humanity and courage when facing difficult circumstances,” added Harger. “As the global phenomenon of Japan's manga industry continues to rise, we wanted to showcase a unique experience that delves deeper into the world of Attack on Titan. This is an especially significant journey for SL Experiences as it is our very first licensed exhibition, which we hope to bring many more of in the future. We are truly honoured to be bestowed the trust of the Attack on Titan committee and PIA Global to develop an experience that would befit this multi- award winning Japanese manga created by Hajime Isayama. Making its premiere in Southeast Asia at ArtScience Museum, we hope that everyone can experience the beauty of this hugely successful manga as the exhibition offers one of the biggest and most comprehensive experience for visitors,” said Augustus Peh, Chairman and Founder of SPACElogic and SL Experiences. The first iteration of Attack on Titan: The Exhibition attracted over 450,000 visitors during its presentation across Japan from 2014 and 2015. It has since expanded to incorporate new artwork and content from the final chapters of the manga. This presentation at ArtScience Museum marks the overseas debut of the exhibition in its latest form. Attack on Titan fans will be able to buy exclusive merchandise that can only be found at the exhibition store and pose with their favourite characters and Titans at a photobooth. Attack on Titan: The Exhibition will run from 19 February to 3 July 2022. Tickets and Reservations Tickets are available for purchase from 20 January at all Marina Bay Sands box offices and website. • Singapore to host the FIA Formula One World Championship until 2028

Race will return in 2022 to reinvigorate tourism and lifestyle sectors, as well as support local jobs and businesses, while adopting solutions to reduce its carbon footprint. Singapore, 27 January 2022 – Formula 1, Singapore GP Pte Ltd (SGP) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) are pleased to announce that Singapore will continue to host the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix as part of the FIA Formula One World Championship for another seven years, from 2022 to 2028. The Singapore night race has been staged 12 times since its debut in 2008. About 268,000 spectators attended when it was last held in 2019, marking the second highest attendance for the race. This affirms that the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix remains one of the most highly anticipated in the racing calendar, as the first night race with a unique street circuit that runs through the heart of the city. The Singapore race experience is also elevated by an exciting line-up of lifestyle and entertainment programmes that extend beyond the Circuit. Since its debut in 2008, the race has generated more than S$1.5 billion in incremental tourism receipts and attracted more than 550,000 unique international visitors. The race also supports local businesses in the engineering, construction, and hospitality sectors. 90% of the race organisation is sub-contracted annually to Singapore-based companies, providing employment opportunities and enabling businesses to reap economic benefits and built capabilities, while gaining exposure and new business opportunities. Annually, some 30,000 staff, contractors and stakeholders are accredited to work at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, with training provided to students for operational roles within the event grounds, hospitality personnel, as well as volunteer race marshals. In the lead up to the 2022 race, all parties will work closely together with relevant government agencies and industry stakeholders to refine and implement appropriate protocols to prioritise the health and safety of all participants, staff, fans and the community. Starting this year, STB and SGP will work together to reduce the carbon footprint of the Singapore race and foster the transition to more sustainable business models. Initiatives include switching to renewable energy sources, increasing recycling efforts and switching to sustainable materials. Formula 1 is also exploring maximising logistics and travel efficiency through process and volume optimisation and by using the least carbon intensive transport available. A full sustainability audit will be undertaken, which will guide the development of other green initiatives that will be implemented for the rest of the new term. As part of its corporate sustainability efforts, SGP will also continue to engage the local community, and encourage diversity amongst event personnel and volunteers. This is the fourth contract renewal for Singapore, and the seven-year extension is the longest for the race to date. This will give Singapore a longer runway to capture pent-up demand as international travel recovers. It also allows STB, SGP and industry partners to develop new experiences to meet the evolving interests of locals and visitors. Mr S Iswaran, Minister for Transport & Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, said: “Even as we deal with the immediate challenges of the pandemic, it is important that we focus on our recovery and long term growth. The Singapore F1 race continues to be a strong focal point for tourists, global events and business meetings. We have decided to continue hosting the F1 race for another 7 years, after thoroughly evaluating the long term benefits that a term extension could bring to Singapore. The renewal will help sustain Singapore’s reputation as a global city with a vibrant lifestyle, attracting international visitors as travel rebounds, and generating business revenue and jobs for Singaporeans. We will ensure that this year’s and future races, as large scale international sporting events, are COVID-safe, informed by the prevailing pandemic situation and public health assessment. We will also work with all stakeholders to ensure the Singapore race is sustainable. We are grateful for the continued support of fans and the local community as we work closely with Formula 1 Management, Singapore GP, and our partners to make the Singapore race even more exciting and memorable, and sustain its position as an iconic event on the F1 calendar.” Mr Ong Beng Seng of Singapore GP, said: “We are very pleased that the night race will continue for seven more years. After more than a decade of celebrating this spectacular event on the racing calendar, we are looking forward to building on its success and working with Formula 1 as well as its partners to take the night race to greater heights. We are delighted that this marquee event will demonstrate how Singapore is open for business. We look forward to welcoming both local and overseas fans and visitors to the Marina Bay Street Circuit once again.” Mr Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO, Formula 1, said: “I am delighted that Formula 1 will continue to race in Singapore for another seven years. The Marina Bay Street Circuit hosted the first night race in F1 history in 2008, and Singapore has continued to thrill fans, teams, and drivers ever since. Singapore holds a special place on the F1 calendar, and this extension is part of our long-term commitment to continue to grow the sport in Asia. The plans that are in place to reduce the carbon footprint of the event are impressive and align with our plans to be Net Zero Carbon as a sport by 2030 and I look forward to continuing our successful relationship with Singapore GP and the Singapore Tourism Board as Formula 1 returns to this incredible city.” Mr Keith Tan, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board said: “We are proud to continue to host the Singapore Grand Prix for another seven years. It is an experience like no other in the world that reinforces Singapore’s position as a vibrant and exciting global city. STB welcomes the opportunity to work with our partners to introduce new ideas and concepts to enhance the race experience and to make the entire event one of the most environmentally sustainable street circuits in the F1 calendar. We look forward to welcoming international travellers back to Singapore in 2022 for the race, and encourage them to also explore our new and reimagined offerings.” About the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix The Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix organised by Singapore Pte Ltd is a global motorsport extravaganza that has been watched by more than 930 million viewers worldwide since 2008. • Morton’s The Steakhouse

The legendary Morton's The Steakhouse is an iconic steakhouse that is still operating in its original location at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Singapore for the past 20 over years. We dropped by on a weekday evening for dinner and were strongly recommended a special 2 pax sharing menu at only $328++. We selected the following: Baked Ocean Platter Porterhouse Steak with 2 sides - Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake and Creme Brulee The Baked Ocean Platter had Sea Scallops wrapped in Bacon, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Jumbo Shrimp Alexander, and Grilled Oysters with Garlic Herb Butter. It was served with 3 sauces - Apricot Chutney, Mustard Mayo and White Wine Butter Sauce. The Platter was very warm and tasty, and served as a warmer for our bellies before the main course. This is a simple dish but not easy to execute well, and the Morton's team has done a brilliant job in elevating this dish to the next level. The amount of marinate and seasoning was just right - not too salty, and not too bland. The 24 oz Porterhouse Steak was served medium rare as per our request. It was grilled to perfection, succulent and juicy, with the right amount of marbling and paired with the Rodney Strong Merlot from Sonoma County to neutralize the fats. The meat to fat ratio was just right. For a sweet and happy ending, the legendary Hot Chocolate Cake of course, no less, and the Creme Brulee. The Hot Chocolate Cake was warm and moist and oozed with the molten chocolate upon first bite. Being typical Singaporeans, we did a quick calculation of the sum of the parts of this special set menu and the combined value of these dishes were worth far more than the ala-carte prices, so this is a pretty awesome value for money deal. We were told by the Morton's team that this promotion is still ongoing as of now, till further notice. So hurry, make your reservations with Morton's as soon as possible to avoid FOMO! For Reservations, please contact: Address Mandarin Oriental Singapore Fourth Storey 5 Raffles Avenue Phone: 6339 3763 Email: MTSGCSM3@LDRY.COM Hours of Operation Closing Times May Vary Bar Monday – Saturday 5pm – 11pm Sunday 12pm – 9pm Dining Room Monday – Saturday 5:30pm – 11pm Sunday 12pm – 9pm

Long-term, we plan to be more affordable,” said Laurent Stevenart, Singapore Country Manager at Impossible Foods. “Following the immense popularity of the 7-Select Impossible Deluxe Burger earlier this year, we’re thrilled to expand our collaboration with 7-Eleven Singapore and add more delicious items to their ready-to-eat options. The convenience of 7-Eleven’s store footprint is unmatched, and we’re excited to offer more affordable options to their loyal customers.” Leading the charge to make plant-based meat more accessible, 7-Eleven convenience stores in Singapore will be the first in Asia to offer the entire range of Impossible ready-to-eat meals at more than 350 locations. The new ready-to-eat meals are also halal-certified, giving fans more options for delicious, nutritious and sustainable foods even when they are on the go. “As the leading convenience store, 7-Eleven is uniquely positioned to make a meaningful difference in our communities. With our extensive network of 7-Eleven stores spread across the island and with Impossible Foods’ mission to transform the global food system, together we can make plant-based eating more accessible and convenient anytime, anywhere.” said Mr Steven Lye, Managing Director of 7-Eleven Singapore. Versatile and delicious, Impossible Beef looks, tastes and smells like ground beef from cows – but is made entirely from plants, with a much smaller environmental footprint than meat from animals. Since it’s made from plants, it uses 96% less land, 87% less water, and generates 89% less greenhouse gasses. This means environmental savings of 7 square meters of land, 3 kg of CO2, and 84 litres of water for every 113g serving consumed. • SUBWAY SINGAPORE LAUNCHES ITS FIRST LOCAL FLAVOUR - RENDANG SUB AND PANDAN COOKIE

IN LIGHT OF NEW NO-DINE-IN MEASURES, THE 10,000 SUBS WILL BE DELIVERED TO STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS AT VACCINATION & TESTING CENTRES ISLANDWIDE AS WELL AS NCID TO SHOW GRATITUDE SINGAPORE, 21 July 2021 – Nothing unites Singaporeans quite like food—and so this National Day season, Subway Singapore is launching its first-ever local flavour pairing: Rendang Sub and Pandan Cookie. First 10,000 of these subs bought will be matched by the sandwich giant and distributed to staff and volunteers at vaccination centres, testing centres and the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). In light of newly announced, no dine-in, measures, Subway will bring the subs to them. This is Subway’s first large-scale community impact initiative served toward recognising the dedication and hard work of those involved in ensuring Singaporeans are vaccinated, tested and kept safe from this raging pandemic. WHEN LOCAL INDULGENCE AND FRESHNESS UNITE Rendang, an aromatic dish sure to make your palate dance, has existed since the 15th century. Making its way through Indonesia and the Malayan Archipelago, it found a home in the hearts of Singaporeans. This familiar flavour will now be available to Singaporeans via the Rendang Sub that comes in both chicken and beef. Patrons can expect to be hit with a medley of flavours from the various ingredients in the Rendang Sub, which include chilli, onion, turmeric, ginger, garlic, desiccated coconut, tamarind, lemongrass and a unique spice and herb mixture. All this renders the meat soft and juicy and gives the Rendang Sub an irresistible, robust and aromatic taste. Individuals can choose their own fresh vegetables, but Subway recommends pairing the rendang meat with Old English Cheddar Cheese, Mixed Greens, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Mixed Pepper and Onions for an especially flavourful explosion. The naturally sweetened and chewy Pandan cookie is best paired with the Rendang Sub, elevating the decadent and aromatic experience all-round. Both menu items will be available from 21st July 2021 to 28th September 2021 across all Subway restaurants islandwide, and on delivery platforms GrabFood, FoodPanda and Deliveroo. Prices for the new additions are listed below: ● Chicken Rendang sub starts from $7.30 for a 6-inch and $12.30 for a footlong ● Beef Rendang sub starts from $7.90 for a 6-inch and $12.90 for a footlong ● Pandan cookie starts from $1.40 “The Rendang Sub and Pandan Cookie took us a year and a half to master, and they’ll be the first of many localised options done in response to customers' growing demand for locally curated flavours. From internal tastings and restaurant taste tests, the Rendang sub and Pandan cookie underwent in-depth and intensive research to deliver the right and familiar flavour to our guests. We hope that Singaporeans will enjoy this as they celebrate Singapore’s 56th birthday and revel in the collective spirit of togetherness”, said Samad Mohd Shariff, Country Director, Subway, South East Asia. THANKS TO ALL FIGHTING AGAINST COVID-19 The fast food chain is also celebrating the Singapore spirit in another way: for every Rendang Sub purchased, Subway will match that to distribute up to 10,000 subs to staff and volunteers across vaccination and testing centres islandwide as well as to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). These include staff and volunteers across all 36 vaccination centres and 26 testing centres islandwide run by Fullerton Health, Raffles Medical Group, Parkway Shenton, Thomson Medical and Healthway Medical. The distribution will take place between 03 Aug 2021 and 17 Aug 2021. Samad Mohd Shariff, Country Director, Subway, South East Asia added, “It only felt right that with the launch of Subway’s first local offering, we support and share our gratitude for those working tirelessly to keep our country safe during the pandemic. Subway will be matching 10,000 rendang sub orders to distribute to staff and volunteers at our Vaccination and Testing Centres and NCID. They are the pillars of the government's efforts to test and vaccinate everyone so that we can emerge stronger together.” QUOTES FROM MEDICAL SERVICE PROVIDERS Dr Walter Lim, Deputy Country MD (Singapore), Fullerton Health said, “We'd like to thank Subway for this gesture of support for Fullerton's frontliners. Fresh meals energize our staff in their push to vaccinate the nation!”. Mr Ang Chee Wee, Director of Operations, Parkway Shenton said, “ Parkway Shenton would not have been able to administer close to half a million doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far, if not for the dedication and hard work of all our staff and volunteers at our vaccination centres. We are delighted that Subway shares our gratitude and appreciation for our team of workers, who have been working tirelessly to ensure Singapore achieves its target to have two-thirds of its population fully vaccinated by National Day”. Ms Chan Wei Ling, Chief Executive Officer, Specialist Centres, Thomson Medical said, “Since Singapore began its nationwide vaccination programme earlier this year, our staff at Thomson Medical’s vaccination centres have been working tirelessly, administering the vaccinations for our fellow Singaporeans in a safe and efficient environment. In recent weeks, we have shifted our operations into a higher gear as we surge towards vaccinating two-thirds of Singapore population before National Day. Thomson Medical is grateful to Subway for its kind gesture. It really warms our hearts to know that the efforts of all our frontline staff are appreciated.” Dr Ng Yew Yee, Head of Mobile Division, Healthway Medical said, “Healthway Medical is delighted to be part of this worthwhile initiative by Subway and recognise the hard work and contributions from our frontline staff who have been working tirelessly to vaccinate and test the community”.
