The World Flowboarding Championships (WFC) is an annual event where the best riders from all over the globe gather to compete for a World Title in their respective divisions on the FlowRider and FlowBarrel surf simulator. The world competition first started in 2009 at Wave House Sentosa, when the establishment first opened its door on the sunny island Singapore. After the hosting baton went around the world (United States, Abu Dhabi, Spain, South Africa, and Bangkok), WFC is finally coming back to Singapore, at Wave House Sentosa!
The field of elite competitors will showcase their flowboarding skill sets by combining surf style maneuvers with technical skateboarding tricks to impress judges and keep spectators at the edge of their seats. A unique focal point of this event is that it will crown both team and individual champions. Each season, Flow Tour Champions from each region qualify for the WFC event and are nominated to represent their country on the highest level competition. Team USA, Team Asia and Team Europe are the core teams involved. Apart from the qualifying teams, there will be approximately 40 to 60 individual wildcard competitors who will be fighting for the title.
